    Great.

    Titanium Backup'd my m8 pro
Copied internal SD card contents to external
    Eject SD
Used tool to reboot to flash mode
    Wait 5-10 seconds
    Erase Nand
    Flash rom
When flashing successful and tablet reboots, remove usb cable from tablet
Wait for boot, about 6-10 boot logo run throughs, around 3 minutes
Developer options - switch to ART
Wait for tablet to reboot and build ART for stock apps
Rename CWM recovery image to recovery.img, backup original recovery.img in RileyRom recovery.img and replace with cwm.
Untick all options in flashtool except recovery
Reboot device to flash mode with tool
    Flash rom button.
After flash and when device starts rebooting remove usb cable
Check sdcard is FAT32 in a computer or other device, if not copy contents and format to FAT32 and restore
    insert sd card
Restore apps from titanium backup, but not data
    Done

Finally this device is what I wanted. Thanks :-)

Did you try the TWRP Recovery I had already installed in the ROM?

Camera works for me, but the aspect ratio is wrong. For those without issues point the camera at a widescreen and watch it become a 4:3 lol. This is an issue which plagued cyanogenmod 11 too. Pipo to fix I imagine...

I see what you mean. The camera doesn't "squash" the image, it just includes more information at the top and bottom than what was in the "viewfinder"; think "letterbox".

              for me never worked
what can i say maybe driver issues with my hardware maybe "wrong flash"
i maybe check and the original rom to see the differences!

Simply awesome. Somehow the older Jelly Bean roms never worked like they should, damn slow & not responsive, but this Kitkat rom is brilliant.

                Keep up the good work!

                  Minor caveat

With screenshot active, rotate the device to portrait mode. The volume up soft-button vanishes....
Turn the screenshot icon off and the volume button returns. Just an FYI, not a big deal. I assume this is in the factory firmware, not a Randy issue.

Is there any such tweak for this Kit Kat rom? Mine has been going into this deep sleep randomly.

                    Thanks

Update. Done a Delvik wipe, but just a bit ago ...the batt was low, so I turned it off. Had to push the reset when I plugged it in to to charge. Looked to be chraging, but nothing on screen, and would not start normally.

                    Any ideas?
                    Thanks

Update2. I found a feature ... 'Daydream' in settings, and turned it off. So far it is working as it should ...a couple of days. Hope it holds true.
For any who have interest, there has only been one incident of the tab not waking from deep sleep since I turned off the daydream feature.
I am inclined to think that was not actually the fix, but not sure what might have caused it.

Hey, guys. Did anyone manage to install this rom on a tab which manufacture date is 20130410 or earlier?

                          Installed okay

Installed without issues on M8PRON13050620 couple of days ago.
Except that Titanium reported the tablet as non rooted. Used rootgenius and then installed supersu and busybox. After that everything running fine.
Thanks for this great rom and input from the users of this thread.

Finally found some time to install this rom and everything went without issues on M8PRON13041099. First impression is awesome and everything is working smoothly. Have been using this ROM for a few hours now and it is way faster than my previous ROM. For now I'm happy with it and will post a review in a week or so.
