I specifically remember finless 1.3 not mounting usb drives in the usb port, however usb devices (like a logitech mouse keyboard combo did work) the only external storage working for me was micro SD

Just to update you on my issue of sd card not mounting, I tried with a usb memory stick n thankfully it worked fine. Thanks to all those who tried to help me.
Not sure sure if it's ba faulty sd card, or slot, but the card reads fine when android is booted up.
