This ROM works very stable with the Gotham 13 XBMCZ and the Built IN Beyond XBMC, the XBMC was NOT designed for 1080p video and a lot of people don't understand this ok ... 1080p video on your CS968 should always be played with the built IN "eHomeMediaCenter" ... Plus the "eHomeMediaCenter" has AC3 DTS digital sound built IN for movies with AC3 DTS digital sound track via your AV receiver, just awesome ... The most important enhancement, the video resolution quality has been upscale and you can customize this ROM with weather widgets like in post Number # 1 ... Post #1 is still in development ...!

I have now downloaded the Custom ROM that you posted and installed XBMCZ Gotham 13.0. Is there any issues with settings etc that I shoul know about? Mediacodec on/off?
I am not so good at details in the different accelerator technology. It doesnt seem to make any difference in performance?
And what is the "motion elf service" that starts preinstalled?
Can I delete that?
Everything works fine tough, so I will stick to this for a while. Thanks!

Pincer can give you more info on the "Motion elf Service", he's really the expert on the MTK ROM builds ...
Concerning the XBMCZ, per Flumpster
Go to settings in Gotham and the video section and enable expert mode down the bottom. Now go the acceleration menu and disable medicodec while leaving libstagefright still enabled.

Works for me but I have not tried a kitkat rom with it.

If any of you guys have a link to the most recent 4.4 KitKat htc 018 MTK public ROM build, please post a link to it ... I will build a custom ROM for it too, enjoy ...

Thanks. Got it working now. ROM is great. Picture quality excellent. Only slight draw back from me is that it seems to lag a bit. Beyond XBMC is brilliant - I know your not the creator of it, but would be nice if it had maintenance tools similar to xbmc to fix some of the channel issues. Good Work!

I have installed your ROM and xbmcz, in the xbmcz forum they talk about a file that should be replaced if it isnt hacked in the ROM, have you done that in your modded ROM ?
Is it safe to replace the libmediafile that are linked to there in your version?

The LibMedia.so hack for 4.2 ROM builds will not work with 4.4 ROM builds .... If you want AC3 DTS digital sounds, then please use the built IN "eHomeMediaCenter" or the MXPlayer with custom codecs ... Please go to my threads and read the section "AC3 DTS READY" ...

LOL, that´s how much I understand of this, I think i should stick to the ROM:s only and don´t mess with the files that are installed. Thanks a Lot for your patience :-)

Antoher question tough: I only stream videos from different online sources and nothing local with XBMCZ, and as far I understand the "eHomeMedia and MX Player" don´t have that opportunity or can you make these startup even if you initiate the stream in XMBCZ?
