You are joking of course? Post 121 (at the top of this page) has the info you seek. If you did read 7 pages you clearly didnt look very carefully!

Faccio prima in italiano: non devi usare per me la ROM 1.2 ma la 1.4 così da aggiornare per bene tutto.
Quindi scarica il file .zip della 1.4 dal post principale del thread e poi segui le istruzioni all'interno (io consiglio il punto 1 anche se non ho ancora provato)
English version: you do not need me to use the ROM 1.2 but the 1.4 update so good for everything.
Then download the file. 1.4 zip from the post of the main thread and then follow the instructions inside (I recommend 1 point although I have not tried it yet)

Grazie policin123. Ho trovato la soluzione. Dovevo inserire la password che a suo tempo avevo messo e me ne ero dimenticato. Ora l'ho tolta. Grazie ancora comunque è buona giornata/Bruno
English: I solved the problem. I forgot to I had a password. I just prompt it and now it works. I removed it now.

i dont think so the s89H uses a differnt chipset, i saw them talking about it somewhere on this forum

I believe Nexus 10 will do that?
For others you mention I would need their build.prop file so I know what to set.

Bottom line if your rooted you can edit it yourself. The parameters you change to spoof something is:

ro.product.model=GT-I9300
ro.product.brand=samsung
ro.product.name=m0xx
ro.product.device=m0
ro.product.board=smdk4x12
ro.product.cpu.abi=armeabi-v7a
ro.product.cpu.abi2=armeabi
ro.product.manufacturer=Samsung
ro.board.platform=meson8


Just replace those with another devices info. The above is a GT-i9300 by Samsung. This was the stock info for the S89/S82 as an example

ro.product.brand=MBX
ro.product.name=k200
ro.product.device=k200
ro.product.board=k200

Be careful changing

It may cause a boot loop depending on what you put there.

I am rooted and using your 1.4 currently. I do not know how to change the spoofing but if you have a small write up, i could perform it myself.

You do it from Android.

Install ES file explorer
run it
turn on root explorer
click root explorer again and set system as RW
go to /system/build.prop
edit it
save it
reboot.

tronsmart vega s89 vs minix x8

Ok here goes. I currently have a minix x5 with finless 1.3 rom. I have now had this box for over a year working just fine. Now I want to get another box. With the tronsmart priced well and the reviews so far it looks ok. Just wondering if I recieve one do I need to update firmwares before flashing finless 1.4 rom. Otherwise this sounds like a well priced animal compared to what I'm seeing for the x8. Maybe the x8 has something in store for us but that is to be determined? Before I decide I will wait for reviews for that box. These are the two I am considering.
