You will see on the card a number with a C around it. If you do not have that then your card is sub-standard and probably cannot handle the write speeds CWM is trying to do. If you have a class 6 or above, I understand from studies that it should work.

    Bob

    Ah there's the problem then, mine is a 32gb class 4 -_-
No worries, i'll just always backup to internal memory instead =]

Cheers for the heads up Bob.

Anyone able to upload the file elsewhere? The download link says the file is missing.

Just remove them from the homescreen they are old ones. Remember this is a beta test Rom. So when testing is complete a full 2.1 Rom will be produced with the App injector package etc in

                    Release version updated!

                    UPDATE July 10, 2012

                    I have updated this ROM based on feedback and bugs found;

This is still my 2.1 ROM but the new ROM is 2.1a. It has the following fixes in it:
                    1) System space has been increased from 240mb to 300mb. This is because the standard APP Injector package would not fit on /system.
                    2) WPA_supplicant was updated to support ADHOC network connections.

That is all. If you do not need more system space or adhoc wifi, then there is no reason to update to this ROM.
However with that said, you CAN update and use a backup in CWM to do a "advanced" restore of the data and cache areas. Thus you should not loose all your APPS, etc.

If you want to try this approach, do not erase IDB and only flash system.img. If the system does not work right... well sorry. Just do a full reflash and erase IDB. I cannot test every scenario of apps installed. But again I do believe you can flash system.img alone and still be OK.

The download link in the first post of this thread has been updated. Click it and you will now get 2.1a ROM.

                        Hi Bob,

just flashed Gingercomb a few minutes ago after trying your ICS that denied to install the Google voice engine.
Looks pretty nice and all is working so far well.
Well done, feels much better than ICS.
The design is superb, all looks and works much more professional than all I saw and tried before.
                        Very impressive.
                        Thanks.

                        One thing,
where can I customize the background (wallpapers, live background) ?
The matching topic in Display settings from ICS is missing here in Gingercomb.

                          Glad your enjoying GingerComb!

As for the ICS stuff. I wish I could help! I do not even know what your talking about with settings in ICS related to GingerComb
I do not have anything that runs ICS yet so I do not even know the stuff available in ICS. Yes I am doing ICS ROM's now but only "in the dark" and upping the performance, etc. I am not doing any Android user level stuff yet like I did with GingerComb. Sorry man... Soon I will have a Tab with ICS and can learn to tweak ICS itself!

No problem, it is all there, i found it some minutes after I posted my question.
In ICS, the background and live-wallpapers are set within the settings - display tab.
In Gingercomb, you have that topic in the status bar.
Just a bit of search and time to discover what is where, but all seems to be implemented and works fine of what is needed for daily use.
Just to save me some time, can you tell me what folder contains the wallpapers so I can add some custom ones?
There is no option in the dialog to choose a picture from a custom folder.

But again, by far the best ROM for the 9 G2 that I tried so far.

Just download any wallpaper and put it anywhere on your sd card

Open the gallery app and it will find the photos automatically. Select the picture you want and you than have option to set as background.

I personally prefer quickpic from the Playstore

Much better than the stock gallery app and also has the option to set any image as wallpaper
