i have asked Ugoos a month ago to provide me some technical infos which i need to fix some issues in my firmware but haven't got any answer yet and i'm still waiting....

It seems Ugoos doesn't have interest to coorporate with me. I don't want to release any my firmware when i know it doesn't work correctly.

Your 4.2.2 version for UT2 works good for us. - no issues

I have little request for you, if you can help me,
I am trying to switch the internal VFAT file system to ext4, and i modified recovery to change vfat to ext4.
It is formatting correctly, but it is not mounted automatically on boot.
When I mount manully (ADB shell), it works.

I am not sure how to add this script on init.d logic.

Can you explain me how to setup init.d script.

also, do you know to add fsck to /data/ and /cache and my new ext4 partitions on every boot?


I can modify the system.img using RkRePacker tool.

Clearly,it is a pity that development stopped for this TV box. I now put your firmware from minix x7 (Wasser 1.0.4) and it works fine in conjunction with the kernel from QS 3.1 Nitro,but does not work recovery stage and sd card after rebooting falls off,it's necessary to pull out and insert,but this is not a significant problem in the rest of the firmware is great,the video shows smoothly.

For all those still having issues with this firmware crashing, I can confirm that wasser's Minix X7 firmware works perfectly on the UT2. I've had the device on for 48 hours now and no random shutdowns at all.

Highly recommended.

I just installed it too....works good the only thing I miss is the use of my UT2 remote I have to use a combination of a wireless mouse and the XBMC official remote app on an old phone. So I would love to see this FW fixed, just the couple little bugs that have been found that's all....

Looks like wasser has been around but nothing new since August...can these minor issues be fixed without Ugoos being involved?

Ah. I use a seperate airmouse only so never used the Ugoos one.

I use Wasser's Neo x7 V1.04 KK ROM and the kernel that comes with it. I WAS using Wasser's XBMC but was having a few problems so yesterday I installed SPMC and it seems to work a little smoother for me. Also like that I can use the mouse with a long click and get context menus so now I don't need an air mouse or the official XBMC remote apk!
