    HDMI output

    Hello

I can give you some feedback about HDMI output.

I have 2 TV , one where minix is directly connected with supplied HDMI cable, the second with a long HDMI cable that is inside the wall.
This long cable is high quality and I have no problem connecting my PC/PS3/settop-box...

I have no issues at all with the short cable (with any device/ any kernel).

I have some issued with the long one :

+ with JB kernel no issues
+ with KK provided in 3.0 : flickering to black screen
+ with KK provided in 3.1 : video is OK, but flickering on audio, like an regular instant muting...

I can have the same issues with other hardware (k-r42) and kitkat rom.

I think HDMI level output is weaker on kitkat and then if you have bad quality cable or long cable, the signal is to low when the power consumption is high in the device.

I have allready read this kind of issues in other part in this forum about HDMI black or audio flickering.

    Franck.
for windows8.1 drivers fix follow this.

Used MK 902 QuickShot V3.0 ROM for Mini X7 to get Wifi working. Been used for 1 wk. Very fast and stable. Antutu Benchmark 21017 for OC kernal. All apk and recovery working except the stock remote. Just want to update since the Team is working on the Mini version. Thanks for great ROM.

Thanks for your feedback, the mk902 rom in the minix will cause some minor problems, mk902 had the rk1000 multifunction chip inside and X7 mini not, x7 have the rtl8152 ethernet chip and mk902 an AXIS chip. Thats is why we will release a specific rom for the mini, basically all roms share the same system, boot, etc... but kernel is different in all the devices, let me explain, it will work, but not full, for example in your mini you will not have eth access with this rom, but you only will need to flash the new kernels we will publish, I hope today

            Come back to v.2 . . .

Having not yet customized the QSv3, it was easy give it a try with the Wasser 1.0.2 (KitKat 4.4.2):

For purpose and with the hope to provide useful guidance, I inform you that the flickering is also present on the Wasser Kitkat ROM 1.0.2, but is less: the screen is substantially stationary, only every 15/30 seconds variably there is a single flash, unlike the QSv3.1 that is plagued by continuous thin white lines flashing and flash the screen more evident and more frequent.
            ----

In the instructions to go back to v.2, where it is written "you need to hold down power button until the end of the process", is meant only phase: "eraseidb", or button must be pressed during the entire flashing ROM process ??

The V2 is too perfect to to abandon it... I keep it with pleasure

Hehe, sorry that's what I actually used, I just wrote that as I'm actually a UNIX admin, it shows fully executable for all users- I haven't fully wiped it since QS2, and now running 3.1- perhaps I should run a reinstall unless you know of anything I can check?

              Thanks :-)

What about lower resolution and 1080p @ 24 Hz ?
                  I have the problem only with 1080p @ 50 & 60 Hz.

                        Webcam support

Everything works fine on my side (HDMI, Audio passthrough, ecc) but the webcam support is lost.
I have 2 logitech webcam (c910 and c525), both working fine with all prevoious firmwares, not working with 3.1. The image is almost black, I can see only shadows (same effect as photo in backlight).
I tried all the USB port on the device, same result.

                        Thanks

Litry has the c525, so we will try to look at this. Brightness can be adjusted in the app. We will look for a init.d script.

Yeah seems the fix didn't work for Melee f10 pro, the sound defaults to it after reboot.

                              Added:
I think you also meant the top 2 buttons 1-power button (2-have no f-ing idea what that button is???) on the Melee f10 pro doesn't work which I do not think it's mapped at anything.
Can anyone add some suggestions on what the game functionality does on this remote? When I press it, I get camera spin on games like Shadowgun.

You need to better define what you are talking about... what remote etc...

The remote included with the Minix x7 works fine.... so I suspect you mean another one which may also have something to do with your sound.... you gave so little info that it is hard to say what you are trying to say
