    HLS Smoothstreaming

So I have found some more information. On the dutch forums I found out that the Finless 2.0 Kitkat rom Does support HLS Smoothstreaming, as confirmed by Bob the great:

Yes KitKat appears to work. It might just be related to selunix security and DRM. The entire FFMPEG lib's are totally different in KK than JB.

    Bob

So, we have a working body to operate on

more info on the debuggin process with logcat, ffmpeg etc

First I want to thank you for this great FW.

I have one question: I have an external HDD formatted HFS (OS X). I have installed Paragon NTFS/HFS from Google Play and the partition is mounted without problems (HDD directly connected to X7), but, if I want to play a movie or music from it ,it tells me "file could not be opened". If I try to add it in XBMC under files, the same problem, XBMC doesn't see it. I could play media from the same HDD mounted with Paragon on other KK and JB FW.

If I connect the HDD to the router (Airport Extreme) I can see it and play media from from in EsFile explorer/network/LAN. It is seen as smb, but I can not add it to XBMC.

Is there a fix for this? I'd like to directly connect it to the X7 and add it to XBMC/files.

    Thank you.
NTFS is supported in the rom kernel without need of external aplications, but HFS not Apple is special, they want to be special, and not all is for good
My suggestion, if you want to use this hdd in all your devices (not exclusively apple ones) Format it to other (more standard) filesystem type supported for most platforms.
