Need some motivation to flash to V3.1

I'm still on Quickshot V2 and not sure if I'm ready to move over to KK.

Are there any known bugs other than those listed?
Eg. random reboots, instability, apps not compatible etc?

Hello,

I have been testing the Minix launcher and it seems that the weather widget does not seem to understand LAN network, only wifi. While I have a working network connection via UTP it reports no connection.

Is there a way to fix that?

You ( or I ) don't fix apps that aren't working properly... you report the issue to the author of the app, in this case Minix if it's their widget ( someone else if not ) so they can address it in their code

I did, and rebooted many times but didnt work, finally I flashed it clean from my pc and then have issues with WIFI not enabling. So I flash a new kernel using the quickflasher. After rebooting following the kernel update it enters the upgrade programme for the v3.1 as the update.zip was still on my external SD card. Must have been something wrong with the update programme in V3.

Wifi issue now sorted not sure if its the new kernel or the upgrading of the rom again but either way its now working.

I used the sdcard update method without any issue ... so it isn't an issue with v3.0. In fact, I don't recall anyone else reporting as having an update issue. Wifi also worked just fine... make certain you didn't flash the ROM for the x7 mini which uses a different WiFi chipset

I use the K400 without any issues... look for possible 2.4Ghz conflicts, interference or similar. I use an USB extension cable so the WiFi itself doesn't have a chance of interfering since it is right by the USB ports. Make certain your batteries are fresh enough also.

Thank you for your Rom it is great. I have a queston about Quickflasher which does not seem to be working...

I have installed V3.1 directly from PC and Quickfasher was aleady installed. I watched the video and I was not able to find in download sections any quickflasher patch therefore I assume the included in version 3.1 is the latest, which I have upgraded to PRO.

However it does not see t find any packages at all, no matter where I put them, for example the following package:

kernel_leolas_x7_1080p_cpu1704_gpu600_ddr667_quick flasher.zip

Can you possibly assist?

Hi trying to update v3 to 3.1, have put the update.zip in both my external sd and root of internal storage and still no update. Confirmed with vendor software version.

Quickflasher Not Working

Thank you for your Rom it is great. I have a queston about Quickflasher which does not seem to be working...

Hi. I upgraded straight to 3.1 from a different custom rom that my device came with. Previously the standard Minix remote app worked fine. Under 3.1 however, the remote on my phone or tablet connects after start up, but after a while (mostly after not using for a while such as during watching a movie under xbmc or after xbmc going into sleep mode) the connecting is no longer there and when hitting refresh on the remote the minix is no longer detected. Only after reboot of the minix (not the phone, which does not solve the issue) the minix is recognized again on the remote (until connection is lost again after a while). Any idea what the issue might be?

Probably some app that you've installed since the ROM doesn't sleep by default. Also check your XBMC settings... such as the Appearance-Screensaver which is normally set for Dim @ 20%... other settings/add-ons may behave differently than the default.

Hi. Thanks for the good work. I have the flickering issue and want to install a 1080p kernel patch. The rar contains many patches, I guess for different clock settings etc. Can you please add a small explanation on which one to choose in case you want just the standard settings as per the normal rom?

The settings are described in the first few posts already... and the standard speeds mentioned several times throughout the thread... just read what is already there.
