Label yf1211 masking a yf1011 in v1.4, v1.5, now 2.1

Newer #1211 ROM used as a base for Gingercomb 2.1a
fails on my yf1211; same result as with #1211 rom for Finless' 1.4 and 1.5 ( the reason not to test 2.1b).

However Finless' #1011 rom v 1.4 and 1.5 both work on my "yf1211."
On 2.1a the fails are nill wifi and volume, both deal breakers. Also, soft Next7P buttons not work. [v1.5 has both those4 and soft in status bar.]

1. Will 2.1 come out for #1011?
2. If yes, can any img files from 2.1a be used, or will it be a complete 240 mb download?

The #1211 worked perfect with Finless 1.5. Almost afraid to test "GingerComb 2.1", but what the hell, in the spirit of testing & progress I'll dive in. I'm testing Newer 1211 Nextbook ROM used as a base for GingerComb. Bob has earned my trust.

So far, everything seems to be working. Battery meter works fine. Will report back if I find any beta type glitches.

Having trouble with Wi-Fi. Keeps saying "error" when I attempt to turn it on. Tried to manually set up Wireless network to no avail.

No sound either.

Instead of stressing on this, I will now attempt to install Older 1211 Nextbook ROM used as a base for GingerComb (like my 1.5 ROM) and see if I have any better luck. If so, I can always come back and attempt to figure out why the newer ROM failed me.

(As an aside, still trying to get a Nextbook 7 SE 4.0 from Big Lots, but they carry them randomly & I have to check in every week)

Will report on installation ofOlder 1211 Nextbook ROM. Hopefully with better results.

Alright after testing the 2.1b beta these are my findings.

Works correctly
-Touch screen
-wifi
-sound
-touch buttons
-flash 11 works

What doesn't work
-battery icon displays ?
-tilt controls are backwards (i have a fix for this)
-Screen orientation is off (same fix as tilt controls)

I could use some help fixing my tilt controls, as they too are backwards...as is the screen orientation.

Ok re-installing 1.5 for a few weeks. Will be back in hospital & need a non-beta ROM. I'll be back to test this ROM...if you guys haven't perfected it by then.

I have just put the Newer 1211 Nextbook ROM on my daughter's 0811.
It now runs better than it ever has.
Play works well, Wireless works without any issues.
Can't comment on battery life yet but personally this is the best bake yet for the 0811

couple bugs

Great works..it looks awesome. Running it on a YF1211 and have the same screen issues, as well as not being able to download from market. Everything shows up, but when I try to download, I get msg..."error retrieving from server".Your thoughts?

Apps Loading wrong Orinataion

Hey Bob I'm struggling to explain myself today so bare with me
If I load an app say I'm Holding the tablet vertically with the Soft keys facing the bottom the apps load up in a one 180Degress the opposite way vertically..
I tried to edit the Build.Prop with what was posted but that just changes the the axis of the whole unit vertically standing the unit displays the Android system In wide Horizontal mode and vice averse Any Idea?

yes, same model, in hong kong,
and i extracted, and run RK29update.exe
unload the SDcard before insert usb cable.,
checked loader, then clear IDA,
and reflash in previous, but no lucky,
now i download again, try it same hour later,
wish success no issue.
