On a side note, i have installed all STABLE VERSIONS of XBMC and now KODI, i have 14.2 installed now and also SPMC 13.4 but in BOTH if i enable amcodec hardware decoding and pause a video, the video freezes but sound is ok. I have to stop video and play it again. Has anyone ran into this issue? and is latest KODI 15 ALPHA good with amcodec enabled? the only reson i wouldn't use it is just for the skins . Trying to figure it out what works best with this box as i really don't want to put openelec on it.
Thanks Veronica, this does re-enable the framerate change.

I am also experiencing the same problems as you with the video only freezing but sound continuing in Kodi e.t.c however this looks like a possible solution : http://www.mbox.co.za/forum/viewtopi...t=150&start=10

Also, I have a feeling that the answer to all of my problems are inside "set_display_mode.sh" - I am going to experiment with the sleep time at the end of this file to try to sustain a HDMI signal to the TV in the hopes that I don't completely lose the signal 'every other' framerate change. If it wasn't so 'hit and miss' all the time I wouldn't be considering throwing it in the bin!

I don't understand the Chinese error message and does anyone knows why this happens? Tried to upgrade from 112K4 via OTG port on laptop.
Could it be a succession thing ... Goto 113K4 ( which isn't really an upgrade) and then 114K4? If there is no real upgrade on the IMG file posted and no change log its save to assume I'm going to stick with 112K4 ...
Again the "Secret" is to bang the Rocks together lol....

No really the "Secret" is to untick every Erase Box. For whatever the reason 113k4, and 114k4 can only be flashed as an Update ONLY, and not as a clean install. So on the bright side you get to keep all your Apps (but, have to chill aprox- Five Minutes (Or so for Android to Update), or you could jump straight into your Recovery (3e, or TWRP), and erase the Data & Cache Partitions from there. Unfortunately trying to do so from with-in the Burning Tool will cause the Flash to Fail at approx. 3%! Thankfully nothing has happened at that point which would have otherwise bricked the Device.

So again untick all the Boxes to the right... and try it again. You might have to reload the Burning Tool as well as relinking to the 114k4 Firmware again. On the off chance that its still failing at ~3% even after you had unticked said Boxes.

P.s. And, no its not a "succession thing". I was able to jump straight off of 109k4 to 114k4, just fine. At the risk of driving the point home.. You need to untick ALL THE ERASE BUTTONS before you hit "Start". Then you shouldn't have any problems at all....

P.p.s. 113k4 felt more like a fix to 112k4 horrible spelling of "Dobly" instead of "Dolby". It did offer up a new Setting called "Disable USB-Audio output"... I guess its for People who have an Air Mouse with a built-in Mic or something. 114k4 seems to only add Kodi 14.1 on top of that. I suppose the next question to ask is this "Kodi" a modified 2160p version, like the older stock XBMC Builds? Alas I wouldn't know...

What I do know, is as a 1G/8G owner. about the only thing that has it over the Stock 109k4, would be OpenELEC-5.0.6. Otherwise from 110k4 on its just been getting a whole lot worse IMHO.

Haha, I'll play with it then I suppose, have you tried it on your 1GB model and is it even supported? I think Freaktab users needs to make a donation for you to get a proper box, but I know such thing doesn't exist! See the 2 GB model is now selling cheap on Geekbuying and other affiliates. Thinking of getting a FireTV box but the ecosystem is so locked down.

Yes there was a second File on that Pan.Baidu Page, that was for the "MXIII" (I'll take a stab and say that it was as likely as not another AiO Image). But, no the Tronsmart S82 Image would have likely bricked my MXIII again. So I'm not about to test anymore S82 ROMs on this Box... But, the MXIII ROMs such as they are, OpenELEC or no... Seem to be fine.

In fact, if I could just figure out how to get Retroarch to work in OpenELEC (Assuming it even possible!), I'd give up waiting for the ~Next Stock ROM~ right now. Well that, and the ability to access the AD2P Profile of my Bluetooth Dongle, from with-in OpenELEC.

I just want to rattle off a couple of quick questions about this....

One is the USID the same thing as the Serial Number?
Two If so... Can I replace this with the one underneath my Device?
Three assuming I were to flash this "Key Update", each time after I run an Update either though the Burning Tool, or MicroSD... Would, this then prevent Google from "detecting" my "Updates / Downgrades" as a new Device?

Bonus question... Assuming I had the DRM Keys to a Nexus Device (e.g. From KT049H), would it not be possible to somehow implant such DRM Keys in this way?

Whats the problem? Does it fail at ~3%?! -- If so Untick all the Erase Buttons!
As to why?! I can not say... But, if you want to actually complete the Flash, you'll have to do this.

Could it be that you have the misfortune to get stuck with Windows 8.x? - If so then you "Problem" is that Windows 8.x is preventing you from installing the WorldCup Driver... Since its an Unsigned Driver. You'll need to go ask MicroSoft, or Uncle Google on how to disable this block on Unsigned Driver(s). As I'm just this poor pleb that's still stuck on Seven Ultimate.

Hi all, a new MXIII.2GB owner. What is 114K4? I checked Oman only showed us an official update of 112K4. Please direct me to the right post that shows new fixes that 114K4 provided. My FW is 108K3 or 4. Thanks.

Hey, thanks. The solution for video you linked works now amcodec needs to get better so we get zero skips/drops.

Everyone else.. Have you notice 114k4 file is like 200mb bigger than older releases ?

... The Amlogic CODEC needs to get better!! LOL this is the understatement of the Decade In fact I'd say (With the air of One who has just recently tested FW's 109 ~ 114), that its been getting worse since 111. I guess I shouldn't be so shocked to discover that 110 actually still works... After all it was originally sold as a Hotfix on 109 to fix a few broken Bluetooth Chips in the earlier 109 release. Presumably not unlike how 113 was a spelling correction, and a very small Feature Update, and 114 just added Kodi 14.1.

If you had read the Thread... You'd know that there IS NO change Log of which to speak of... I'm of half a mind to even consider 113 / 114 as even being particularly valid. Since no Three File *.zip (i.e. MicroSD Format), of these Firmwares even exist at the moment. If anything I would suspect these to still be Internal Builds.

As such as a Change that I was able to see....

113 - Fixes the incorrect spelling of Dobly (in 112), and a new Disable USB-Audo Output Setting.
114 - Adds a 14.1 Build of kodi to the above.

Pretty much everything Amcodec related (...For my 1G Vantage Point!), seems to have broken itself under 111, and remains so still under 114. S82, and other 2G Devices YMMV!

But, I'd really like to hear what other 1G Users take on this is....

                      * I purposely omitted the 4k - Suffix since it should have been a give-in by now...

Ok so after testing SPMC 13.4 vs Official KODI 14.2, i'll stick with SPMC. I also changed 720p 60hz to 1080p in my new tv , works better that way together with SPMC.
If i disable amcodec i get zero drops & skips in most of my video collection so i'll leave it like that

its the best so far .. i play with it on mx3 with 114k rom no problems until now with kodi 14.2 to many

on my mx3 with 114k is not working, again, i have to manual change the output to have audio on spdif or hdmi , and still have a strange audio problem (the audio is like machine guns) with passthrough in kodi

Hi everybody. I've installed the 112k4 on my MXIII 2GB, installed Kodi and everything runs fine. I wanted to ask if there is a way to remove the Dolby logo on the default 4K player. Does anyone know how to do it?

Can't say I ever used this, but as a test bed to see if I could get DTS (Passthough). to work on my MXIII (Since for some as yet unexplained reason the DTS bit of the AnTuTu (Video CODEC), Benchmark just causes my Decoder to sputter along wanting to trigger the DTS, but NOT being able to actually do so.

In any case taking a look at this... Thanks to some Trailers I found over at http://www.demo-world.eu/dolby-dts-t...r-trailers-sd/

It would seem that it might be somehow Video related? I downloaded the following Demos....

DTS Experience (DTS 5.1), - 1m17s (Displays a DTS Logo in the Top Right Corner), and
Orchestra (AC-3 DD 5.1), 1m19s (NO Logo in the displayed at all!)

As to go about disabling the Logo... (Which was not displayed under VLC (Win7 x64 Ultimate)). Well lets just say that I couldn't figure that One out either.

But, perhaps a better question to you... Why don't you enable the Audio Passthough Setting in SPMC/XBMC/Kodi, and just use that instead? TBH I just can't imagine a real use for that Player. Unless it could do Streaming Flash, Videos. Then perhaps...
