Well the Dinosaurs will be pretty jiffed about 113k4 (whenever it lands as a *.zip File for MicroSD's), then.
As there's almost NOTHING thats new about it over 112k4...

Other then a few spelling corrections and, a "Disable usb-audio OUTPUT" Option...

The stupid Jerks weren't even arsed into updating SPMC/XBMC 13.4 up to Kodi 14.x When the newest Betas are already up to version 15! At this point I don't think we'll ever see an official Helix Update for our Box. Perhaps their chillaxing for Isengard? (i.e. v15.0)

This if anything has upset me more then the lack of an update to simply KRT16S (i.e. 4.4.4), from KT49H (i.e. 4.4.2)

The fact that we had to wait over a Month, and a half for an update to fix "Dobly" to read "Dolby" is quite disappointing TBH...

112k4 caused bluetooth issues for some 2GB boxes. Does 113k4 at least fix that?

Speaking of Dobly, it would be nice if someone could clarify what exactly these new audio options do.

I was hoping to get DTS HD passthrough support but that doesn't seem to be the case. At least for now.

The M82 (As opposed to say the S82), only has half the RAM, no 802.11a (@5Ghz), and absolutely NO Bluetooth at all. So sadly I wouldn't know...

I seem to recall having posted some copy pasta on what the "Audio Option(s)" did a few Pages back.
As to the wider question of DTS-HD Passthough... Wouldn’t this be up to your AV Decoder? Are or you looking for some kind of SoftDec? At which point what good would DD5.1 etc... be since you can't directly connect a set of Speakers up directly.

Note I use an External 7.1 DD DD-EX & DTS Decoder. Sadly no super Netx-Gen stuff like DTS-HD MA or Dolby TrueHD. But, AFAIK these Formats can only be passed-though via the HDMI Cable due to HDCP DRM which itself could be the problem. Since most of these chepo Android Boxes lack proper DRM to begin with.

the MXIII-Box only has 100mbit Ethernet, not Gigabit Ethernet.

Be that how it may,,, The Ethernet @100mbit should still be loads faster then the 802.11n @20Mhz Bandwidth @65mbits, and its not... Plus living in the middle of the City, in a Flat full of other People, and their Connections just makes using 2.4Ghz a RPITA! If anything I need 802.11ac. But barring that I'd take a fix on the Ethernet first.

Though for the moment, I've taken a pass on Android, for OpenELEC it seems that under it, I might be able to finnaly put my Bluetooth Dongle to some good use. Sadly not for my Headphone just yet.. But, I can at least move Files 'round now. Something I never thought I'd ever be able to do under my 1G/8G MXIII.

Perhaps I'll come back once a proper 113k4 has landed. I get the feeling that that *.img File that poped up last week was just the empty husk, and the goodies... Fingers crossed for Kodi! will turn up soon.

Otherwise for my needs at the Moment, OpenELEC seems to be way smother. Namely for my DVB-C>IPTV setup. Even if I have to still use that retched Simple IPTV Client for now... Hopefully I'll be able to get hold of this TVHeadend stuff soon though.

10/100Mbit or 10/100/1000Mbit doesn´t matter in any way since our devices don´t come close to have the power to use a gigabit network.
So why are people always complaining about devices missing newests interfaces

@Ichijoe: What stops you from installing the desired version of XBMC you need so desperate?

                b.t.w. I just tested my S082B Box: I have around 7MB/sec. = 56Mbit
                >>> 100Mbit = 125MB/sec.
So still neeeeed a gigabit networt interface?
My PC manages to load the same file at 109-113mb/sec. = 896Mbit
MX3-Box in my bedroom manages to get 6-6,25Mb/sec. = 50Mbit

BOTH BOX are pretty much exacly the same configured @ 112k4 !
So people...STOP saying this Rom is bad! It´s NOT!

Wlan is a too instable thing to me. Who tells us you are capable of setting up an optimized wlan? Ignore bad spots to set up the device or other things.

WiFi is bad if you have your bluetooth on. At least for me, I tried with 2.4GHz and 5Ghz

S802B =/= a S802 in the same way as the S202H (built-in h.265 Decoder), is NOT the same as the others. These are Three very similar BUT DIFFERENT CHIPS. As always it seems that YMMV, as they say. And I couldn't give a Rats Uncle about how good the 65Mbps 802.11 Wi-Fi stuck in the Single Channel 20Mhz Mode), is when the Ethernet should, by all 'counts trump it on any given Day of the Week, and yet fails to actually do so...

Makes me wonder if the hdmi flaw was the only one with the differences in performance .

Both my wifi and ehternet work perfectly fine (mind you i had to fix a antenna short do to bad soldering)
But heck i fixing the hdmi at the time so it was no bigy...lol.

The box is actually quite solid now but i can understand the drive to make more windows type boxes.

Far better driver support and much less in the way of headaches with things like netflix and so on.

Just have to figure out what to upgrade to by the birthday.

Being fairly new to this Game.... Not with Linux, or with things TV related.
I'd be looking for the following myself...

                        802.11ac
                        h.265 (In Hardware!)
Fully working & Google approved DRM'gmt. (So things like Play Movies, Netflix et-al (Actually work for a change...)

If a Windows 8.x Box can do all that, and be cheaper then a comparable Android Box? Then so much the better I guess, As I do not have a wish to use such a Device a "Thin Client" al-la Intel's NUC e.g. for Office, or surfing the Web. I for One fail to see any need to keep feeding the Redmond Troll(s)...

Yes it is up to the receiver to decode the bitstream signal sent from the player. But the problem is, there is currently no way to get a passthrough DTS HD audio signal out of this box.

I've checked with both the built-in video players and also the xbmc. Neither of which can output dts hd via HDMI. And the newly added audio options in the settings haven't been much helpful either.

mine s89-h does dts it has a dts decoder in it .But as i told here before. I have my tronsmart from june 2014 and had a lot of fun with it. But it was never without any bugs. and still isnt. my next one for as far as i can seen now is the nvidia that comes out in may.it maby more expencive bit its worth it if its bug free fast wifi and ethernet and a fast soc. and i have more trust in nvidia to make a bugfree tv box than what i have seen here so far .

Last week i tested tvmc on my old note 10.1 it runs very smooth on that even opening the movies goes faster (not always bit thats more the server you pick it from.I have my tronsmart on the ethernet cable because wireless it was a nightmare . i own a netgear nighthawk r7500 ac router and a 500mb glassfiber internet so that cant be the problem

Sorry I wasn't paying that much mind under Kodi in Android. the constant stream of escalated privileges kept me distracted from looking into it before ditching it all, and moving over to OpenELEC. In that version of Kodi however both Dolby True HD, and DTS-HD do seem to be options here. Alas though my ~10 Year Old AV Decoder just was not built to deal with these Formats so I have no real way to test this out for you.
