I did some test of Dolby Digital, Beelink M8 + Pioneer VSX-520K. SPDIF connection. 112k4 firmware.

Can you post settings please? I have had a play around and cant get my Dolby decoder to decode any, Im using a Turtle Beach Ear Force (1st gen).

I will give you all settings later and place another test with 6 standards of sound

I would say if anything, it was a bug that it worked on an unauthorized box in the first place and when that happens, just be quiet as making any noise will help them catch it and close the hole. My guess is it would not work on 108k4 now, that was a short term omission. The content owners require players meet specific certifications contractually and not having the proper DRM is only one requirement these boxes don't often meet and the fact they are rooted or whithout locked down bootloaders probably excludes them from being authorized for most mainstream streaming services. Read here about Netflix, HBO GO, Xfinity TV Go, Hulu and so many other services with issues on these boxes.

The Android mini PCs either don't play the services at all or only play in SD or don't play audio or have some other issue that means the box won't be used for the service. Fixes are usually temporary, spoofing is one method that works some, but usually not for long. A box or two might have slipped through the cracks, people are using them quietly without being shutdown but I don't know of any.

Only if they throw money at it.

Also some of the service makers and lazy about updating there apps so the holes remain working.

The question though is what ones are we talking about?

Is there anyone here who can confirm that the 4K output resolutions of the S82 actually work on a 4K TV???

I get flickering and blackouts and when i start XBMC the screen totally freaks out and shows only noise

Nice tests, thanks. One thing I am not clear on, DTS-HD MA 5.1 can not be passed through optical cable so I am not sure what your test indicated in that case.

Yes I know that but it works like in the movie. I will do another test only with DTS-HD MA 5.1 with HDMI connection
