Did anyone notice that since 111k4 CPU temp is 75 or 80 ° C most of the time, or this is only in "my" case. I have one from the first Vega s89 16G from preeorder. When most of the owners had high temp problems my was OK, because of bigger cooler compered to other user who posted pictures. Mine is factory, that's why I say FIRST BOXES FROM PREEORDER. Same with 111k4, 112k4 and finless 2.1. I know that CPU t is fake and that the kernel regulates the CPU but in this case 90% of time CPU is runing at 1200 MHz. I tried finless with different cpu patches same t° with all. And did you notice since 111 k4 when you install fresh rom until restart min cpu speed is limited on 408 MHz. I feel like after rebot rom change CPU setting. For me ROMs are great and improved but I feel slowdowns in games because of just 1200 MHz max.

I make small test. On the top of open box, I have put 12cm chassis fan and under the box laptop stand with two fans. Box was cold and cooler was cold but in idle temp was still 80° C. My friend have beelink s82 and he sales this boxes here in Serbia ( he put newest ROM in every box), same thing on 7 different boxes. On the touch box is slightly warm but temp is 80.Temp is measured with cpu temp apk I have tried others and every apk shows same temp. Oman, finless do you know something about that?

Could be something as simple as a app constantly running in the background.

Nope. No background process. Cpu usage is 2-3%. This is quad core, apk must be big like some game or cpu eater like zip decompressor.
Could someone please install cputemp.apk from playstore and see cpu temp. On 109k4 and 110k4 everything is ok cpu temp is 60-65 with cpu settings min 408 max 1992 mhz governor interactive. Now 5 min after powering on 80, I notice also stutering in kodi and youtube after 30min.
This is not good.

there are problems with various DRM online videoservices since version 108k4 - just sound, no video. Please, is possible to repair this bug? If you want to try it, I can send you an app which worked in 108k4 and does not in higher versions.

Inbetween - is there possible to download the 108k4 version (SD install) somewhere? There is link only to 112k4.

I installed the CPUTemp app on an S82B running 112k4, temperatures ranged from 48C to 52C after viewing for a minute or two. I didn't check previously so 112k4 is the only reference I can offer.

You answered your own question.

They are drm video services which means the makers built in protection to not run on unauthorized devices.
Doesn't matter what you download the apps for these services have been constantly updated so as not to work unless otherwise stated.

It's not a bug its what the makers of those services wanted.

4K output screen flickers and blacks out

I have the same problem with my Samsung UHD tv. With all the 4K output modes ,the screen flickers and blacks out.

I bought this box because it is supposed to support 4K resolution

I did however manage to get Finless on it somehow. It was a long and weird road though:

1: for some reason the contents of my external SD card do show up in the booted software but not in recovery mode..
2: I must have pricked the reset button once too many because the toothpick method stopped working after a couple of successes
3: So I installed a reboot-app
4: Copied the Finless-Rom zip to the internal SD card
5: I left the external SD-card in the card slot as well. On it the Finless ROM and the TWRP.img I had taken from the Zipfile and renamed recovery.img
6: rebooted in recovery using the app
7: for some reason it rebooted into TWRP recovery(step 5?)
8: Contents of external SD card not visible but upon going to the internal SD-card, I was able to find and successfully install Finless.

What a mess, but now it works.However, the reason for doing all this was a problem that still persists.

When I go to settings - display - HDMI output mode setting and change to any 4K output, my screen flickers, blinks, blacks out etc. I have an LG UHD TV and have tried all 4 HDMI ports but all give the same result. On the side of the HDMI ports on my TV it says: 4K@60Hz. So does anyone recognize this issue?

Have you tried different cables i found a few just can't deal with the 4k.

I have same problem with 111k4. Actually it is switched on (with blue LED), but no video signal, so u think u cannot turn on again and need to reset.. If you blindly press the IR remote power buttons, you still can suspend it again..

Upgraded to 112k4 for a few days , seems ok ..
I guess this is fixed...?

i have 3 boxes here s82 with no video and 2 are revised s83 boards with the hdmi problem fixed, still no video.

Flash video on MXIII

Hi,

do you know how to run stable full screen Flash video on MXIII? I tried almost all browsers I found - Dolphin does not work correctly, Firefox also not. It does not run stable, or fast enough or repeateadly claims "Flash not responding" during playback.

I would say if anything, it was a bug that it worked on an unauthorized box in the first place and when that happens, just be quiet as making any noise will help them catch it and close the hole. My guess is it would not work on 108k4 now, that was a short term omission. The content owners require players meet specific certifications contractually and not having the proper DRM is only one requirement these boxes don't often meet and the fact they are rooted or whithout locked down bootloaders probably excludes them from being authorized for most mainstream streaming services. Read here about Netflix, HBO GO, Xfinity TV Go, Hulu and so many other services with issues on these boxes.

The Android mini PCs either don't play the services at all or only play in SD or don't play audio or have some other issue that means the box won't be used for the service. Fixes are usually temporary, spoofing is one method that works some, but usually not for long. A box or two might have slipped through the cracks, people are using them quietly without being shutdown but I don't know of any.
