I wonder if they finally fixed the amcodec?! To be honest unless there was a compelling reason to upgrade. I'll just stay on 110k4 for now.

SPMC 14.2 or latest Kodi beta 2?

How does KODI work on 115k4? Is it the official version or an adapted one?

Why wouldn't it work on 115k4? Its hardly all that different. If you want some advice I'd avoid the current Play Store version. Kodi 15 (Beta 1), since the amcodec decoder is still broken on it.
On the current 14.2 Final of Kodi however its working just fine. Chances are excellent that it'll be fixed by the time it reaches final. But, that might still be a while before we see it yet.

Are you sure you didn't mistakenly get a Plus version... The MXIII Plus =/= the MXIII.... Its actually a lot closer to the Minix Neo x8 Plus. Which uses an Amlogic S812 SoC.
As such you should be able to only use 2xxk4 Firmwares, and NOT 1xxk4 Ones.

You can install something like ES File Explorer, or Rooted SSH/SFTP Daemon (Google Play Store), to eventually check the build.prop (../system/build.prop), as to the value of
                      Code:
                      ro.product.name=
                      k200 = MXIII, M82, S82, and S89
n200 = MXIII Plus, and other such variations thereof. I guess the best oldest example would be the Neo x8 Plus.

Ok if you have a k200 Device then it should be a very... VERY simple task....
You will need a MicroSD Card... Formated in your usual FAT32 File Format as your MicroSD Cards usually are....

A visit to this Page: Here to find the link to the k200 version of TWRP, which you'll then proceed to download.
You should then have a File called "TWRP_2.8.7.0_k200.img" somewhere... Wherever you you have your Downloads set to... You need to open that Folder up, and find that File, and then rename it from "TWRP_2.8.7.0_k200.img" to "recovery.img" *NOTE* you should omit the " "'s, I only placed them here for extra clarification.
Then you'll copy / move this File to the root of the MicroSD Card... If you MicroSD is for exapmple E:\. Then you'd just need to copy, or move the File to E:\ -- That simple!

Then if you need to... Remove the MicroSD from say your Phone or Tablet... Then insert this back into your MXIII.
With the Device completely cold... (e.g. remove the Power Jack and, reinsert it!), insert a Plastic Q-Tip end.. With the Cotton ends stripped off of course! into the AV Port.. You should feel a "Click" That'll be the Reset Switch. Keep this depressed, and power up the Device again.

Depending on your Device. You'll either have to release the Reset Switch just after the Google TV Screen.... Or keep it depressed throughout. I of course have no way to know that. I've personally only seen Two MXIII Boxes and, that's how they both behave. Either way.. The Screen should go either red or blue... Before loading up TWRP Recovery.

It'll also be worth noting at this point YOU WILL NEED A USB MOUSE TO NAVIGATE!

I suppose the responsible thing here would be to tell you to make a backup, of your Device... ALWAYS A GOOD IDEA!
Before you try installing a k-200-ota-<DATECODE>.zip file <- The only real bit of the so-called Three Files that actually matters! *Note different versions have different datecodes. I do NOT profess to any knowledge of such dates... Therefore I just simply used <DATECODE> instead...

That should hopefully allow you to bypass any checks that were present in the 3e Recovery.

No it should in fact load the recovery.img file from the MicroSD... And, bypassing the the One on the Device. Thats why its critically important to rename the File to recovery.img.
It also helps to make sure that this File is located at the very front of your MicroSD Card as well... i.e. NOT inside any Folder or Directory.

Actually if you can do it... Wipe the MicroSD Card clean, and then place your renamed TWRP_2.8.7.0_k200.img -> i.e. recovery.img onto that MicroSD. In this case recovery.img should be the ONLY thing on this MicroSD!

If done correctly this should land you into the TWRP Recovery, and not the stock 3e One... Again YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE A USB MOUSE TO HAND!
