Sound Dropout

Hi,

I have Wasser ROM + Wasser XBMC which plays 1080p movies over the network so smoothly where I had issues with other ROMs and other XMBC versions.

However, when playing movies with DD or DTS with passthrough to the receiver, i am experiencing sound dropouts every 2-3 minutes for a fraction of a second.

When in play DD audio, the dropout is less frequent, but with DTS it comes at every 2-3 minutes.

Anyone out there with any solution to this?

I do not have your anoying problem but maybe just maybe you should look at your installed app. I experienced xbmc to slow down and exit when mail noticel popup. To avoid such behavior I simply remove the mail notice from app. Do you have an app who may do something every two or three minutes?

Going back to JB

Love the rom, but now that Amazon instant video has been opened up to all android, I am going to go back down to 4.2.2 since it seems that 4.4 Minix roms don't play nice with it. Just to confirm I will need to delete the bootloader and reinstall it as described by this post

try to clean install and try XBMC before installing any other apps.

No, I tried SPMC and this issue is not there... just that it happened only once in the entire movie..
with Wasser XBMC, it happens every 3-4 minutes or so..

Great rom!! Good job! Thank you. One thin is missing , is fuse kernel module support - fuse.ko for mounting EncFS volumes. Please advise on how add this support .Thanks.

i tried a few roms back and forth between minix x7 and cs968 of which some worked great!!

Great ROM, I'm using it for a week now.
But I've one issue with XMBC (I've used XMBC 13.2 / Wasser XBMC / SPMC) but all same issue:

Every 10 minutes I get randomly blue lines through my screen and an audio failure for about 2 seconds.
Does anyone experience the same?

I had the same issue with wasser xbmc but not with SPMC ..the sound dropout issue went away...

So you are now completely happy with wasser 1.0.4 and SPMC for playing DTS 1080P movies over your network?

I ask because I am still on Quickshot V3.1 with Beyond XBMC, and don't feel like investing the time flashing and setting up everything if it is not worth the trouble. My experience with the setup I now have is that the DTS audio quality is not up to that of my 4 year old WDTV Live, and no version of Android XBMC I have tried will play many of the blu-ray movie rips I have without re-muxing. So I guess I'm trying to determine if the setup you now have is the current state of the art for the X7 Mini before spending time on it.

The new kodi with passthrough also works flawlessly with this ROM but many add ons are faulty. ..

Well before I actually do that, can anyone answer astral69's question, is it possible to set up pass-through permanently in the ROM, as I have been used to doing with Quickshot V2? I don't want to have to manually reconfigure the ROM audio every time I want to play a 5.1 movie.
