Audio works? Usually Beelink ROM wont work on the ENY M8 with audio.
Remote can be fixed. Do you know how to use ES File explorer in root mode?
Flash the stock ENY M8 ROM and root it using EZ root zip.
Then using ES file explorer copy out /system/etc/remote.conf to sdcard.
Now flash 1.7 and copy that file to the same place. Reboot and remote will work.

Thanks bob! You finally got rid of the search bar.like the screenshot function nice touch! I have a 720 TV my Vega std settings are set to 720 but on the latest nightly build of xbmc it tells me screen res 1080. My films are off centred and have it set on stretch 16:9 which is what I used normally.can you help me on this?
Installed CPU patch 1000 and temp watching a movie is 65c

Ram usage is 60% only things running avast xbmc and adapt lock never ran this high on same apps

s89-h and blu ray iso playback

reflashed 1.7 finles rom and installed nightly build that was suggested and xbmc works with video and sound, but all or most of my blu ray iso files are not playing do to the hd audio problem. all my iso's have dtshd ma or dolby true hd sound and the s89-h seems to want to hardware decode the dtshd and dolby true hd instead of sending signal straight to the avr for it to decode audio, and if it's just hardware decodeing the dts and dolby digital signal everything is ok, but when it tries to hardware decode dtshd or dolbytrue hd with out a 5.1 core track it also makes video stutter and audio costant drop out. I guess any iso that has a standard 5.1 dts core audio track in bedded in dtshd plays but if theres not a core track built into dts hd it wont play without major framerate issues as soon as I turn audio track to dolby digital source audio issues stop on iso that has multi audio tracks

so for me xbmc full blu ray playback with dd dts = perfect but try and play a blu ray with dtshd or dolby true hd = horrible playback will this be fixed can u test and duplicate the error anyone??? ty all for your hard work and testing on this unit

OK 720P I see what the issue is.

in 105K4 Oman locked the screen resolution for the desktop to 1080P. When you change to 720P it is outputting 720P to the TV but the system still thinks it is 1080. I will talk to him about that.

On previous ROM when you switched to 720P the icons were all messed up!
This is because you cannot change ro.sf.lcd_density on the fly. However once you switched to 720P and then rebooted, it would work fine and be in 720P and icons were OK. This is because ro.sf.lcd_density gets set to 160 on boot for 720P and 240 for 1080P. The boot script detects this reboot and set properly.

I think I can fix this and put it back the old way. I am looking into it.

I have ported a ROM before to the ENY M8 but now with their new kernel 5/30 it wont boot. I gave up trying to port it. They are doing something like hidden files. Maybe another day.

I will check the youtube thing but Oman already said there was a problem with 105K4 and youtube. I see in build.prop they added some codecs. Probably there.

This release runs very well on the m8 square box except for no sound and no remote control support ....if you install soundabout from the play store and set the output to aux hdmi that resolves the sound issue

I had installed Finless 1.7 ROM on my Neutral Android S82 BOX, 8GB version (coming from factory fw).
Installed from built in Updater app, via sd card. Worked without any problem.
Everything seems good.
Youtube audio/video is now in sync, and looks smooth.
XBMC not worked at first, but after I installed the latest nightly it's working great, as usual (low res avi-s looked better, but not butter smooth).
Reboot and screen-goes-green-flickering problem solved! Thank you.
Blue led still blinks up in standby mode , but I can live with this problem (I already took care the problem with a black tape , believe it or not it works, and it is not so ugly (the leds are not so bright)).

Turn off the wifi from setting and test again, if the app wont connect then its the app problem not detecting the network

I have been looking for a global DPI change since I got this box, please elaborate on how to do this ! I would really like 240 or 300 DPI, @720p 60Hz as I use this box with a 7" touchscreen (my car stereo)
