Flash runs very well on the MK808B 4.2 for me (much better than on KitKat for RK3066). Give this kernel a quick test

actually in that particular case i think it´s html5 embedded and not flash, but i would recommend to use the bbc apps to watch the bbc newspages, just use whats made for mobile devices, the classical web appearances are more for pc´s and latest mobile devices, my nexus had issues with the page u gave ipad 3 (apple never supported flash) of my wife didn´t have any issues and even switching to fullscreen was never an issue. I i use it with my german/swedish international news pages but websurfing is nothing i would generally recommend on a television, nice when it works in case u really need it tho.

Xbmc as well as YouTube are fully functional in what I tried so far.
But especially Xbmc had issues with the stockrom or even the custom rom I used until now.

Firstly, apologies for my previous post - I was being stupid and forgot to erase the NAND before flashing!!
In ref to XBMC - I got mine up and running last night and XBMC does run incredibly well (Using the XBMC that came with the rom) So you shouldn't be getting any problems.
My only comment is the same as always with these sticks and that's the support for hardware decoding of 1080p content is still laggy. But in all fairness, what can we expect from something that costs so little and does so much. P.s. the need for 1080p is because of HSBS 3D content. Otherwise due to the way 3D works, I would end up with a 480p output when watching 3D and that would be poor. :-(
Anyway, this is a top Rom, and so far has been the best one I've used yet so really well done and thanks for the release!!

I've been waiting around 25 mins and it's still on the Android boot screen.
Just want to be sure before pulling the plug..

This MK808B is now useless for me all because Google is too stubborn to recognize that Flash is still part of Web, no matter how they would like to see it disappear.Originally posted by prahjister View PostWhat build.prop settings do you think affect it?
debug.sf.hw=1
video.accelerate.hw=1
These in particular affect video/graphics performance. The settings as listed in 4.2.2 give the MK808B a noticeable boost, flash plays very well along the OC kernel and benchmarks go up considerably with the tweaks. ~500 pts.
But I'll tell you, with KitKat on RK3066 albeit on different device, video.accelerate.hw=1 has the opposite effect and flash on KitKat performs terribly no matter the changes/tweaks. Other video is fine, flash is terrible. Heads up...

Shomari, do you have a page with an overview of ur kernels, it´s getting a bit confusing since on freaktab everything is in different threads, an overview of ur kernels and their compatibility since for instance i have an original with the 903 wifi/bt.
I was just looking for ur kernels and actually searching for it gave mostly threads reffering to ur kernels

It gets messy from there; some users request different voltages, 720 vs 1080, etc all across different threads.

it would be great if xda would allow to create more devices, the threads there are messy too, but still it´s better organized, actually i also use an exUV kernel on my phone since it´s stable with it and it´s purpouse is energy saving, but since lower voltages don´t go well with higher frequencies and generally everyone seems to want performance and not energy saving from a device on a wallcharger i´d think it´s more something for ur own technical curiousity, isn´t it actually be more interesting to increase the voltage to have a stable oc kernel (good wallcharger and cooling as precondition) ?
thx for the link!
