ok to make sure, what brand is yours?, post a link of the specific model you have.
did you plug in the usb receiver directly to one of the usb port?
did you drag and drop terminal emulator screen to see if there was more results?

Go to setings >> Language & inputss >> scroll downn to phisical keyboard and post a screensot of that part or telll if there is an entry starting with HID

Is no branded, it comes without any identification brand in the package. At least mine.

No tiene marca reconocida en el embalaje. Al menos el mio no lo traía.

It is a Rii RT-MWK08 and the very first time I used terminal emulator it reported something like mini keyboard, bus 0003,vendor 1997 and product 2493.
Now when I use the emulator it reports HID with vendor 08fe and product 092c. Running the second command brings up no matches but Bus 001 device 002: 1997:2433 is top of the list.
Sorry but I don't know how to drag and drop on this machine.

looks like 1997:2433 is the one. to confirm go to settings... as i asked you in the last post and report back

to drag and drop you need to press the left mouse button and move your finger up/down in the touchpad AT THE SAME TIME

And drag and drop isn't possible because the left mouse button does nothing and the right button acts as a back button

that model is also named as riii mini i8 and vendor/product ID's have been already identified. Codes are 1997:2433 so It matches your TE report

That is why I thought this would be straightforward. What exactly do I do with that file? Do I save as a txt ,transfer over and change to .kl then reboot?

                      Somehow managed to get this:

                      > u0_a77@manta:/ $ cat /proc/bus/input/devices
                      > I: Bus=0003 Vendor=1997 Product=2433 Version=0101
                      > N: Name=" Mini Keyboard"

Veronica, thank you for your patience and help, unfortunately I have followed the instructions absolutely and there is no difference whatsoever in the way the keyboard operates, home still does nothing and e is home and not menu.

I have the "Hausbell ® Mini H7 2.4GHz Wireless Entertainment Keyboard with Touchpad for PC, Pad, Andriod TV Box, Google TV Box, Xbox360, PS3 & HTPC/IPTV (Black)" purchased from Amazon.

The follow vendor/product worked for me: 0c40/8000

                            Hope this helps.

Btw, anyone know if any of the keys function as a stop button? One of the only things I'm really missing.

For those with the Rii Mini i8, the Vendor ID is 1997 and the device ID is 2433.

                              Thanks for your help.
Hi, I have Rii i8+ and on terminal window I see the line:
                              I: Bus=0003 Vendor=1997 Product=2433 Version=0101
                              > N: Name=" Mini Keyboard"
                              So I downloaded
Vendor_1997_Product_2433.kl file and put it on system/usr/keylayout with rw-r-r permission, then reboot Minix X7 few time and still new keylayout don't work.
Can someone upload their modified file - Vendor_1997_Product_2433.kl again?

Don't waste your time, just install External keyboard Helper from the Play store and remap the keys yourself. I spent a week trying to get this to work and couldn't.
