NEW - Finless 1.8 for EM8 Square Box

Installed the rom and it's really slow, xbmc wouldn't start so I installed beyond xbmc and it plays a video for 2 secs and then crashes. Anyone know what's wrong??

No i manually installed from Google Play Store had no issues at all even with 1080P content.

I have its great easy to install and get going Truly Rooted already installed Root Explorer, Ad Away runs Plex like a dream, my only concern is the Launcher not a fan to be honest but that aint Finless's fault there doesn't seem to be a solid TV Launcher out there. Hopefully Google's Android TV will assist Launcher wise.

Anyone's Experience is this likely to get an Android L Firmware update or do they stay on the current release i.e. no update to 4.4.3 or 4.4.4??

Yeah that's like the one I have.
Mine is considered the U-M8 from androidsticks and I've been told finless rom is the best around for this box.

Did anyone tried a different XBMC (like Oman) to see if that would fix the interlaced video bug.?

Oman 14 alpha has Aeon nox Skin ,plus subtitles plus 720p Resolution problems...
I was really happy with this latest ace 22-07 FW till I notice that bloody interlaced video bug

Advancedsettings.xml

Hi guys I know this is not a rom issue as it also occurred on v1.7 but whenever I transfer the advanced setting into the default directory I cannot watch any streams whether they reside on the LAN or Internet.
The video stutters and plays as if your pressing the forward key on your remote. Streams from the internet don't play at all. I have got a fair bit experience with XML files creating, any ideas what can be possibly wrong? I've used the same file for my mates android box not a amlogic chip though and that works fine.

CEC Control Issue with ROM

i have a Sony TV and though when i turn HDMI CEC Control on everything works as normal even turning the TV off turns off the AMLogic M8 turning it back on does not and i have to unplug power and re-insert, resolved for now by turning off the feature on my tv of turning off the box when i turn off the TV but it would be nice to have it working.

Otherwise love this Clean Stock Feel Thumbs Up.
