    Physical reset button

The physical reset button is well hidden. It is inside the AV connector, yes you read it correctly. Stick a toothpick in the AV connector, aim at to the top, and you feel a click. Those funny Chinese . Put your box in downloadmode: disconnect the powercord, press and hold the reset button and reconnect the power. Wait for about 10 seconds to release the reset button.

    problem of connecting the monitor

Hello. After installing Finless 1.8 on M8 Amlogic S802 the device stopped issuing hdmi video signal to a monitor that has a native resolution 1280 x 1024. When connecting another monitor that has a native resolution 1920 x 1080 - everything is fine. What to do, please tell me.

    P.S.
LifeForce changed firmware and it worked. And worked faster than Finless 1.8. We assume this lab testing firmware: Finlessware in a bucket.

Backing up a AML ROM requires knowing a little linux and using ADB.

Hello is there anyway I can get my remote to access the keyboard. I've tried the remote fix, still can't select characters in the on-screen keyboard. Try to flash your ime on screen keyboard zip to replace old keyboard. Turned it on under settings & selected default to the keyboard. Still only works with my wireless keyboard.

NEW - Finless 1.8 for EM8 Square Box

Every time I try to boot into recovery I get this screen. I can't flash anything nor control the selection on screen with the remote, keyboard or mouse. Anyone seen this before? I read through the whole thread and nobody mentions this at all.

    Thanks!

Edit: I am currently on finless 1.6 trying to upgrade to 1.8.

    Stuck at splashscreen

Installed om my box, when I booted I get 1080p splash screen, waited 5 mins, but didn't boot, so as in a hurry put old ROM back on. Does this take a long time to boot after install or something? or am I not going to be able to run this build. think I have a clone. Is there anything else I can try to get it going?

    Cheers

its little cooler but i stopped it at 2:14 ill run it again later ill leave it on for longer.

but after I played some games on my PSP emulator while the box was hot and it didn't freeze.

its weird I can play psp emulator games all i want but games like Asphalt 8 freeze after an hour or 2.

Yes im sure its an over heating issue and it only freezes when im playing games like Asphalt 8 and Dungeon Quest.

its hot to the touch too but its only when im gaming im guessing its the games since they are really cpu intensive.

but other apps like XBMC work perfectly fine no overheating at all.

I also have a PSP Emulator I can play that for hours and the box doesn't freeze and it isn't as hot as when im playing Asphalt 8 and Dungeon Quest thats weird.
