Finless, if I wanted to mod the launcher with a different colour scheme and background wallpaper, how would I go about it?

Test on mine worked well, M8N V1.0 Nanya ram chips. I got 29.8k if Im not mistaken and on a clone M8 I got 30.2k on antutu but bad 3D fps etc

This rom runs flawlessly almost all the time. The only problem I've encountered is that it frequently freezes/crashes during Antutu tests. I had to do 5 tests before I could finally complete the test all the way through (almost 30k, for the record).

Any idea why this is?

I have nanya chips too, not from ****** tough.
Scored 30k in antutu and no crashes but I have v1.0pcb

So I finally stepped into these devices (all my prior experience is with the CS968, RK3188 based device). I am saddened to see theres no real good stock roms, cause now I have to choose between competing custom roms, which is always a pain. I know Finless is a gret dev so I've chosen his for now. Got 29k Antutu score BUT only after having the box crash 3 times during the test. My box is a high quality build from ****** stamped V0.92, though with Nanya ram chips instead of Samsung (I sincerely doubt it matters but it would be interesting to compare Antutu ram score numbers).

I am curious to try JustMe's, even though apparently it still has some kinks to work out.

Any suggestions?

I am new to this forum and have to say I am glad I found it. I have tried the three major roms stanes, JM and Bobs. First stanes does work but for my M8 v.092 it is buggy. I have tried Just mes but only version 1.0 will load on my M8 version 1.1 loads but is buggy . JM's version 1.2 will not load and I have tried all methods stated on his thread and I get the android error ... this is strange as version 1.0 loads. But moving on I have tried Fins 1.8 and for my box this is the best. I am still on XBMC 13.1 and seem to have some issues with 13.2 ( I removed 13.1 on at onset and installed stanes apk). I reverted back to 13.1 and it runs really well. I would like to put on 13.2 back what version do you fellas recommend. I hope Bob has a version 1.9 with an embedded 13.2. Just my two cents. I would like to try JMs because of the posted speeds and stated stability issues but like some of you it just will not load. So 1.8 BOb is the one for me.

so now i have another problem i have 2tb of hdd in xbmc i can play movies just fine
i want to map the usb hdd but i cannot see it on my pc how do i do this i can ftp in the android media player i can change add files etc but i cannot see hdd space left that is very importend

OK folks.... a lot of work went into this ROM yet again! Another 2 days
Had to fix NEW bugs they put in this new ROM........

8) Xbox and PS3 KO modules are now installed on boot.
This should make wired PS3 and Xbox controllers work.
I do not have one and cannot test so let me know.
BT controllers still don't work due to AML drivers.

For me, the xpad.ko (xbox360 controller) the digital control, not work in any emulator or app, is set as null or "0" in any directions.
... anybody have this problem? have solution?

Anyone knows how can I know if I need to do cpu patcher?
And can anyone tell me if on his m8, when he stops a stream from playing if he gets that 1/2 second black plyback(not like whole box is black just instead os the pciture as stream you get black image.) and then gets back to the menu.

Tried to flash this rom on my new M8 box (Model Best M8) Copied the files from the archive to an sd card and put it in the box. Did the reset and power but it went back to normal load. Realised there is no recovery file in the archive. Downloaded a recovery file from a stock m8 archive and copied that to the sd card. Tried the reset again and it shows the android and a bar at the bottom loading the update. It only gets a quarter of the way across the screen and then stops.

Anyone know what Im doing wrong? Even tried using the update tool in the installed rom, but same issue. Tried a different Rom, and same thing again. Only gets a quarter of the way..

Scored 30k in benchmark too. I am having issues woth acestream, the playback starts black always. And doesnt come

What are the issues in finless 1.8 evryone was talking about? Xbmc seems to be working fine too.
