Thanks @karel for this Kodi version.
I installed it on my X7 with 010 official firmware.
I'm pretty happy with the result (less, almost none, glitches on the sound) but I have a strange issue.
I have a Rii remote and it's working but when I try to change the volume I can see the volume bar at the top of the screen (so key press are registered) but the volume is always at its maximum.
I also have XBMCZ installed with the exact same options and the volume is working OK.
    Any hints about this ?
    Thanks in advance

Does the volume down key on the screen work?
DD/DTS videos have a fixed volume (so volume up/down doesn't work on these)

If volume up/down works it could be a key switch in the kodi keyboard.xml file.

        Yes sir ...
EDIT: Oh you mean the volume buttons on screen, not the volume bar that appears when I change volume with my remote ?
I tried to find some but I did not found it.

For DD/DTS, on XBMCZ I never had this issue on any videos and every videos I opened on your Kodi port had this issue, I don't think that every one of those were DD/DTS and I have the same problem with music files (Flac, mp3...).

Passthrough means the audio is passed to the A/V Receiver as-is from the source.
Due to this volume up/down keys don't, and SHOULDn't work for DD&DTS passthrough.
The volume is adjusted on the receiver.
          That's how it works.
So, the volume control on XBMC works only if the pass-through option is turned off. Then the audio
is processed by XBMC and volume control will work.

Very Good, some addons won't work

                  Hi

This has been among the best of the XBMC versions i ever tried (I've tried almost all of them out there).

Full-HD playback is super-smooth, even when played from SMB shares.

One negative about this edition is that some important addons doesn't work, while it does on the Gotham editions (such as Wasser XBMC and SPMC)

                  Regards,

Each time XBMC upgrade some addons stop working. So this is more related with XBMC and addons, check with addons, you will have to wait for addons upgrade.
T428 ,Radxa Rock (RR), cs918s v1.0, waiting for my X7...

Thank you for your answer @drjf. I knew that this version was passthrough enabled but I disabled it in the options.
Still... any file (all the videos but also music files) got that volume bar appearing but not modifying the volume.
I was also in a hurry to test this version as it was displayed on a Minix forum, so I thought that it will be working better than the other versions I got (sound pop and crackle) and it was but then I realised that I can uninstall it (I do not need passthrough) and try to install the official android ARM Kodi 14 beta 4.
For the moment this version seems good for my needs.
Thanks again to you, karel and the people that answered to me about my issue.

I have Wasser 1.04 on a Ugoos UT2 with Wasser XBMC Gotham. I also have had this problem. This is what I found works so I don't have to reboot the UT2 to get audio back.

Simply play another video file that is NOT 5.1/DTS/DD. Just a regular stereo track from any video will make it return the audio to my UT2.

I have also - left XBMC running and used the notification bar HOME button to return to desktop. Then placed the UT2 into sleep mode. Then wake it up. Then go to sound settings in Android. Change output to ANY other choice. Then change back to passthrough. Then go back to XBMC.

Sometimes sound will return without going to settings in Android, so check first after sleep mode.

I also have this issue, and I am using QuickShot 3.1.

Every XBMC seems to do this, except SPMC from the play store. I get full DTS/Dolby passthrough, and as long as I quit XBMC normally the regular sounds (UI clicks, YouTube, non Dolby) still work after.

Try SPMC. Works great for me, but I look forward to this being fixed for Kodi at some point.

SPMC had a different set of issues for me. Since they were worse I choose wasser version as it was the lesser of 2 evils.

SPMC works the best for me with Wasser ROM giving me no issues worthy of mention.

Just visited the SPMC site and there was a new 13.3.3 release dated yesterday. Going to give this one a try tomorrow see if it works for me.

Preliminary support for h265 (including RK3288) Preliminary support for Android TV Allow sleep and Daydream to kick in (e.g. on Amazon Fire TV) Add setting to scrape all videos, even if they failed...

                                Edit:10/28/2014

SPMC still has these issues for me on my UT2

                                1) Sometimes playing a video, stopping it, returning to main menu (Home), clicking right mouse button, will exit me from SPMC

                                2) Sometimes audio is turned off after playing a DD/DTS 5.1 video

                                3) EVERYTIME I play Masters of Sex S02E0~ and use the player to <<| button (to restart) I get returned to Android Home I tried other files of same show and episode, mkv, avi and mp4 all did the same. Control acts as it should on my other UT2 which is a "RK3188T" UT2 on Wasser JB ROM and official 13.2 Gotham.

                                4) Sometimes it crashes on boot 3-4 time and finally will run.

Ah well, back to the Wasser XBMC....
