    Ok got it working
    The problem was I was trying to ijnstall the rk3288 drivers from the rom package and not the RK_DriverAssitant drivers

    Those ones actually detect the tablet and initilise it correctly when in flash mode

    I did not use the exe in the Driver Assistant folder just installed drivers from within that folder

    Thanks for help everyone

      Thanks for the info. I will start including that in future ROM kits.

        Randy,

        Can you increase the speaker volume? I tried viper4android. The system sounds got louder. But YouTube, Netflix speaker volume doesn't get higher. Or is there a setting such as org in build.prop that can be changed?

            Yes, I have the same issue. I tried a few flashlight apps.
            Original photo camera flash works fine and pictures are great.

              Yes, it could be better, agree.

                  I've been trying to find that setting for a while, but I can't seem to find it anywhere in the system.img. I'm afraid it is in the kernel, which I can't access.

                  I have had success in the past with an app called SpeakerBoost...but it doesn't make much difference, either.

                  I could definitely stand the sound volume on the speakers to be just a tad bit louder also.

                    For me the solution for speaker volume increase was ViperFX (Viper4Android).
                    Just install the apk, install driver, choose the quality you want (either goog or best for me -- best eats up a lil bit more cpu) then enable the advanced view in the user interface, set the speaker optimalisation to on, set the volume increase to on, strenght to high, and set the pre-amp limit to 0dB, and post-amp to +5,6 dB (one of the last settings at the bottom).

                      thanks very ok rom

                      could add DPI changer for future, stock DPI setting is way too big

                      dpi=280 + apex launcher

                        Thanks for the instructions. Viper4android is working for me now. It even works for YouTube.
