This is a 10.1" tablet with the RK3288 processor. The successor to the popular M9 Pro.
Based on my experience with my so far positive experience with the P1, I'm betting this will be another fantastic addition to their P series line of 3288 tablets. It's been a while since I've tried a 10.1" tablet...so I'm looking forward to it.
I've taken delivery of a sample P9 straight from Pipo...through their official seller, Pipomall.com.

First Impressions:
This is a sleek and solid tablet. Very similar to the M9 Pro. All of the controls are on the top. I happened to have a 10.1" case that it fits perfectly. I only had to modify part of the top panel to access the buttons and power plug.
Since one of the issues with the P1 was low volume...the first thing I tried was to see what the sound was like. This tablet plays audio loud and clear. There aren't any external volume keys, but the on-screen volume soft buttons work just fine.
The next thing I checked was the display quality. Among the sample video files provided was a 4k video which gives a brilliant example of a crisp and smooth video playback.
As with the P1, the Antutu score was 39700 with the stock firmware...but I'm sure I can squeeze a few more points with a custom ROM on down the road a bit.

As mentioned in the thread below, the tablet took 4 days to reach me. I found when I opened the box that the tablet was turned on in sleep mode with a battery level of 50%. I don't know whether it was 100% when it left Hong Kong, but 50% in 4 days isn't bad. I'm not really one of those guys to leaves my tablets turned on all the time...I have a habit of powering down before I put it away...but for those of you who rely on decent standby time...that's a plus. If you are really into battery savings, you can take the brightness down to 50% and not really be able to tell much difference.
I've been dealing with a bunch of 8" tablets these days...so it's refreshing to get my hands on a full size tablet for once. At 9.7", my P1 is a whopper, too...and I like it really well...but I really like the P9's wide screen aspect ratio. My early tablets were 10.1", so it's refreshing to get back to it.
The stock firmware is very clean. There's only one Chinese store app installed that I need to get rid of, but otherwise it is pure Android 4.4.2. I wonder whether Pipo has plans of introducing 4.4.4 any time soon...since their P4 firmware is 4.4.4. We shall see. The stock widgets are useful, too. Pipo has gotten away from their Metro looking launcher...opting for the standard KitKat launcher...which is nice.
I'm sure there might be some apps in Google Play Store that aren't compatible, but I haven't found any of my staple apps have trouble installing. I'm not much into game play, but I've tested Chrome, Tapatalk, Email, Gmail, Calendar, Xplore File Manager, Youtube and Netflix, and they've all worked without a hitch.
Wifi on this device...just works...no problems whatsoever connecting at home or work...even on some crappy public hotspots. I haven't tested tethering from my smart phone yet...but I will add that as time permits.
GPS had no problem initializing, once I stepped outside for about 5 minutes. I had to go into settings and manually select the time zone...then it sped up the GPS being able to get a fix on my location.
That's all I have time for at the moment, but stay tuned as I discover more with this good tablet.
