If i'm correct, when you see the message one loader found, the device is booted into bootloader??
But i cannot get the device recognized with fastboot devices...

    @joris:
To check if the drivers are installed correctly check device manager, rockusb should be there.
If you use adb, you should see an android adb device in device manager.

Here's the guide from pipo how to boot when flashing (also P9) and howto install drivers for pipo.

Thanks Flow63! But it doesn't really solve my issue.

When I plug in my tablet. It shows 2 Rockusb devices, they use a microsoft driver. (I guess this is actually not a problem.) AndroidTool says Found one MSC device. If I press switch AndroidTool says: Found One Loader Device.

Then the tablet seems to shutdown. Device manager finds a new device, where it has no driver for and I can install the Rockusb driver from Fuzhou Rockchip. It gets code 10 This device cannot start though.

If I try to Run on the AndroidTool I get Test Device Fail

I had the same message. Using another USB port (which is possibly connected through another hub) I succeeded to flash.

          • The P9 has 2 bubbles on the screen (after removing the protector sheet). That's a little bit disappointing, but it works well
          • The flashing proces was a little bit difficult because of my USB hub confiuration. The third (and last one) worked, the other ones couldn't start the tablet after switching
          • Inside the manual (thanks for that!) the file name of the flashing tool is incorrect and therefore it took me some time before I knew I had to take 'Androidtool.exe'
          • I cannot say anything about the battery, I just started playing yesterday
          • One thing I noticed: the bar below in the screen (is that the navigation bar? It contains icons to go to the main screen, running app overview, etc) first had an arrow to hide the bar; after swiping upwards, it would come back. At a certain moment in time, the arrow disappeared and the bar could not be hidden anymore. What could be the cause of this?

Does this ROM (1.5) also has the Pre-Install enabled?

          Thanks for the ROMs!
          Regards, Ernst
I succeeded in removing the screen protector .
Has anyone a solution for the (now persistent) soft keys? What could have happened the 'hide' button is gone?

Are you running the latest official build from 11.09?
If not, flash that with the official tools and maybe it solves your problem?

I just noticed that the screen has not been placed correctly in the housing.
It's not aligned but a little skewed from right to left (landscape mode).
I noticed it when i changed my wallpaper, you can see now that there's a black skewed stroke at the top and sides. Anyone else care to check that?
              Edit:
and does it have GPS or not? On the case it says GPS and there's a GPS test apk in the drawer, but i'm unable to get a signal?
I have only used RileyRom 1.5. First, the soft key bar contained a hide button and after some use, it is gone.So it is included in 1.5, but not enabled anymore for some reason.

Yes, it does. And even GLONASS! I get a fix within 2 minutes when offline and under the roof.

I stumbled upon a problem: in both hangouts and telegram, if the keyboard is shown the app does not resize. Thus, I don see the input box as the keyboard is overlapping that area and I dont see what I am writing.

Do you have the WiFi only version? Because the 3G version is out now and that one has definitely GPS.

@pipo40, did you try to reset the tablet with the reset button at the back?
Just tried hangouts and it's working fine here.
I suggest you go back to the latest stock firmware (11.09).
And play with that for a few days to see what stable is and what not and then you can always decide to flash the riley rom.

Pick the right version if you have the wifi only version pick the NO 3G version!

One small question: Do you know which microSD formats the P9 supports? Does it support microSDHC (up to 32gb) and microSDXC (up to 64gb - 128gb)?
I think You can add up to 128gb sd card on this tablet. So far I have the 64gb card in and its working fine.

I reveived my 64gb card today - looks like it works fine :-).
I tried to install XBMC today, but all version I tried (several stable and several nightlies) crashed. I opened a thread on xbmc.org: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=205026. Do people over here are able to run XBMC?

Riley, is that interesting for you to read? I think not as I don see how your changes to the original ROM could affect this, but I better be sure.

                            Do you realy need XBMC?
It's a real pain to install it. I suggest you use this:
                            PopcornTime

Just scroll down on the page for the apk.

I believe Popcorn Time is used to play streaming movies, while XBMC builds a catalog from your own movies. So, I can watch movies with XBMC offline. Or do I miss a Popcorn Time feature now?
