Can't restore with titanium backup... anyone facing this?

Edit: I tried restoring individually, some work, some didn't, but those that didn't work I managed to re-download from playstore and restore just the data which worked... weird.

    Ps: Can't change wallpaper.

Earlier, I reported problems running XBMC. I found out the reason: I had multi-window turned on.
After turning it off, XBMC would run. This solved also the following problems I had:
      • the keyboard overlapped the input box in some apps (hangoits, telegram)
      • the touch screen did not work on the right side. This turned out to be the part under the bar from multi-window (showing when you swipe from the right side)
      • the hide button is back on the bar on the bottom of the screen

      So, no multi-window for me

I have a new OTA firmware dated 9/22/14 #192 for both 3G and wifi versions.

According to Pipo, it adds support for Toshiba Flash WGJ-TP. I'm not sure what else might have been updated, but I'm making RileyROM v1.6.

        Stay tuned?

            wifi connectivity

            Hi guys,

I received the p9 tablet this week, all works fine and fast.. solid machine.

only negative point is the wifi connectivity.
signal is really bad and I can only get 1 bar to 2 bars max (out of 4), while on my phone
or laptop I would have full signal..

Any ideas on how to solve this? If even possible.. Would appreciate the help!
Really good machine for what you pay for, if you get good wifi that is.

            Peace

In the past, individual wifi problems have been linked to bad solder connections on the wifi antenna. Of coarse it involves popping the hood to check. With each ROM I've done for the P9...my wifi is good.

                Pipo P9 Wifi Problems.

I just got my Pipo P9 this week. It is fast and no problems except with the WiFi. It will not connect to my home network, I keep getting "avoided connecting due to slow network" even though it shows that the signal is excellent. When I do get connected it drops it. It also will not detect the WiFi signal at work, this may be because it is 5ghz (it does detect the many 2.5ghz signals from neighboring WiFis). Does anyone know if there is a fix for this? I have tried tethering to my phone and using a hotspot from my phone, but still can not connect on either. I can pair with Bluetooth, but it wont share the WiFi from the phone. I may be missing a setting, so if anyone can help it would be appreciated.TIA

Looks like there is a batch of tablets with bad wifi. You might need to contact Pipo Customer Service. [email protected]

I'll add that the Wi-Fi on my P9 is strongest of all the Android devices (Samsung galaxy s3 mini, Samsung Tab Pro 8.4, Acer liquid e2, Cherry m-1038, HP Slatebook x2), I have owned.
Even on my attic floor I get a decent signal through two reinforced concrete floors.

Which firmware do you have? With RileyROM 1.6, I had some wifi problems (would not awake after standby).

                        Same with mine...my wifi rocks.

As I said in post #66, there might be a poor solder connection on the antenna wire.

Here is a set of instructions for a possible DIY fix. It's for the M9 Pro tablet, but it's very similar to the P9.

Hi guys, first time poster, been a reader and a fan of the forums for a long time.

slightly of topic, in regards to rr1.5.1, has anyone had issues with video chat apps, namely Skype.
Mic seems to pick up the speakers better than any audio sent to the mic itself.

Making it almost impossible to use, never tested it on orig firmware,
however never had an issue with my old M9 using rileys.

                          Any ideas...???

Not sure this is a Rom issue, but since I'm on 1.51I'll post it here.
I had another battery drain problem yesterday evening. I put the tablet away with around 22% charge while watching tv, a few apps like browser and email running in the background, Wi-Fi might have been on too.
When I picked it up one or two hours later, it would not come on. Only after a long press of the power button it rebooted and gave me an 'connect your charger' warning and a 1% charge indication.

I left the tablet on the charger over night, but it is stuck at 76%. Gsam battery monitor indicates 4.317v, which is as much or more voltage as previous full charges.

How do I reset this? I really hope this hasn't buggered my battery, as I was getting 9+ hours of screen time on a full charge, without ever dropping below 15%.

                              Hi,

i try to flash and everything goes wel until the flashing.
Then it says testing 100% and thats it.
Before it, switching and low format goes well.
Now it is still reacting when i put in usb cable but no life in it
                              Any idea what to do?

Flashing P1 goes ok, so it is no driver problem.

When i try to flash original firmware tablet is recognized (green ) but when i try to flash or try to switch mode i get again message: testing 100%

How do i get back life in it???

                              Eric

                                Broken lock button?

                                Hi all,

I got a P9 with 1.5.1 installed (I suffered from battery drain and wifi reconnectivity issues on 1.6). Now, my lock button is not working all the time. For example, I use sometimes my charger to wake the screen or I wait for the tablet to become idle to lock my tablet.

                                My question to you is:
                                - could this be a software issue?
                                - if not, is this a known issue I can fix myself?
                                - or do I need to send the tablet back to China for warranty?

                                Thanks, Ernst
