    Teclast P90HD RileyROM 1.0 [RK3288]

This ROM is based on Teclast firmware v1.24, dated 8/22/2014. This is the first RK3288 tablet by Teclast.

    1. Download the ROM Kit.
    2. Unzip the kit on your desktop, or wherever you downloaded it.
    3. Open the AndroidTool.exe
    4. With your tablet turned on, with USB debugging turned off (in settings), plug in the USB cable. Be sure to always use the USB cable that came with the tablet.
    5. Make sure the USB drivers are installed for the Rockchip device. (see the First Time User's Guide for details, if you are having trouble)
    6. You should see the tablet recognized by "Found One MSC Device" in the bottom of the tool.
    7. Click the "Switch" button to reboot the tablet to flash mode. The screen will turn black.
    8. Click "LowerFormat". It will count to 100% (very quickly).
    9. Click "Run".
    10. When the flash is finished, the tablet will boot into stock recovery and will format your partitions.
    11. First boot will take a little longer than usual...just be patient and watch the boot animation.
    12. Once the tablet boots to the system...you will have a fresh, rooted system to work with.

    This ROM is:

    Rooted
    Debloated
    English as default language
    init.d support added
    Busybox commands added
Multi-User support added without the need for Xposed Framework
    Google Play Store fixes added
    Reboot app by Petrus
Your choice of 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12gb user app space (select the parameter file you want to flash) The default is 6gb

The RK3288 firmware prevents me from auto installing TWRP Recovery, so you will need to do it manually. I recommend that you first flash stock recovery with the whole ROM. After first boot, you can then install TWRP Recovery by itself, by running the flash tool, and un-checking everything except recovery.img. Browse to the TWRP file in the RileyROM folder of the ROM kit by clicking on the box to the right of the recovery line in the flash tool. DO NOT ERASE IDB a second time...just "switch" to flash mode and flash the TWRP recovery image.

    Download

    Enjoy!!!!

Please.....Don't forget to donate....this helps me continue further ROM development.

    You rock Randy!

Thanks so much... I'll try it out as soon as I can, and promote it on other forums in the meantime.

Can't wait to get this tab in the mail and try your ROM!

      Do you own this tablet?

I am tempted to buy this tablet. The only thing stopping me is that it does not have GPS, and the huge bezels. They should have made them as small as possible since the screen is so big.
Which would you go for, this of the iFive mini 4?

Hey randy.. Got the rom installed and it's awesome. Have a question though:I flashed the stock recovery. It let's you restore backups but not make them. I want to make a backup file with the app "online nandroid backup", it gives me a choice of making a twrp or cwm format backup style. Which one do I want to use for the stock recovery? Or do you have a better way to make a recovery file for stock recovery? Thanks so much.

I hope to get a TWRP recovery for this ROM. But we are kind of busy right now. It may take a few days.

Randy, you did a great job of tweaking this thing. Did you use a different kernel? It really flies compared to the stock ROM, even after I cleared all the Chinese crap off. The stock ROM wasn't terrible after a good cleaning but this is much smoother and quicker. Got 3k points higher in antutu x as well. It was 32k, now it's 35k, which both seemed like realistic numbers, not cheated.

As a side note for anyone else reading this thread: if you want to remove the stupid volume keys built into the nav bar, it's super easy. Just use a build prop editor and change it from true to false where it says saysro.rk.systembar.voiceicon, then reboot.

Also I wanted to note that the new xposed module TabletKat works very well on this device, bringing back the ICS style tablet ui. I highly recommend it. It puts the notification bar on the bottom, just hit the right side and it pops up. The nav buttons go on the left, where it's easy to hit while holding with 2 hands.

You have to uncheck "use tablet recents" in the options though, that will make the ui crash. Also you can use gravitybox to enable android L style nav buttons, but most of the other nav/status bar tweaks in gravity box won't play nice with TabletKat. here's a couple pics:

It even supports transparency on t home screen/apps drawer.

It's the same kernel. I've just made some adjustments here and there. I'm glad you like the ROM.

                  Stay tuned for TWRP.

If you guys want TWRP for this tablet...please help Abdul_pt. He needs this information to make the TWRP for us.

Many of you are having trouble rooting this device. Once we get TWRP, the need to pre-root will be eliminated.

Thank you very much Abdul! PM me your email address so I can send the dmesg. It's too long to send on the forum, won't let me.
