    Thanks

Thanks for the help via PM! I appreciate your time.

I love the way this thing is simple to flash. I am up and running this ROM and I no longer have stuttering while streaming my videos from my NAS drive, basically the only reason I use this thing.

    donation inbound.

Can I just leave the stickpowered on at all times? Should I power it down every so often? I have another mk808b, not sure witch iteration though as I haven't opened or flashed it yet, that I turn off when not in use, and just by turning on my TV or selecting the correct HDMI output on the tTV powers up that one.

Just watch it and make sure its not running hot. I left mine on all the time but kept a fan on it.

Can someone give me directions to load the 1080p kernel. I'd appreciate any help and direction. Thanks

run the flashing tool and uncheck everything except kernel and parameter. Be sure to use the parameter you flashed with. In this case you probably just used the default one. Then press the blank box to the right of the kernel and navigate to the directory with the kernels. I think i named it rom or img. Choose the one you want. Then flash. Should take about 5 sec and you are done. You wont loose any data settings as you are only replacing the kernel. If you want to get it back to regular size edit the build.prop file and change density to 240.

This thing flashes too easily! I wish my tablets were this simple. Thanks again for the help. I did have one brain fart where I was not able to save my changes to the build.prop. After several tries I remembered I never granted root acess to ESFile Explorer. After a few short keystrokes my screen looks amazing I must say. THANKS.

                    Prahjister-

I'm a moron and can't remember which of your ROMs I'm running. IS there an easy way to tell? I'm still getting stutters/jerky panning in Netflix. Want to make sure I'm on this one. ( which I think might be the best )

                    Thanks!

i am bad about labeling the rom. Settings About device build number should be 20141013 i believe. if it is older then yes.

Ill flash to confirm this weekend.

Man after playing around with whatever is on my stick right now...i wish they didnt discontinue these...i think it is better than my b plus.

I booted netflix and i dont have a stutter I would guess you are on the old one with libstagefright hack

Does this mean my device has failed..?

I went to a friend´s house and I was able to try the stick on different TVs (some old and some new), but still no video on the screen (the Blue LED on the stick was on but the device was not even detected by HDMI).

I came home and tried flashing it again, now with the Rockchip tool and a ROM named
update_mk808b_v5.0_102j2101.img, flashing seemed to go well, but in the end it just gave the Loading Firmware Failed error... I tried repacking your ROM with the RK3066_IMG_Mod_Tool so I could flash it with Rockchip Batch tool, but just to get the same error. (screenshots attached)

Then I´ve tried reflashing it with your original ROM img using the ROM_Flash_Tool_137 and now it doesn't even finish flashing like it did the first time. Default settings have been used in the flash tool; kernel_vsfsam.img which I suppose is the 720p kernel (I´ve also tried with kernel kernel_vsfsam_cpustock_gpu466_ddr466.img), but it ends up with an ERROR:Run Failed (see attached)

Device is not detected by TV ("No Signal")

I must say that during the couple of months the device used to work there were several times it was rebooted abruptly due to the low quality AC adapter it came with (a poor cable connection on AC Adapter which resulted in intermittently power if cable was moved a bit)
Does this mean my device has failed..? I was having some hopes of reviving my MK808, but now..

Another netflix question ... anyone have it so that netflix responds to the keyboard "pause/play/ff/rewind" buttons? I have a logitech keyboard with the media function keys. XBMC works perfectly. Netflix just ignores them. I'm sort of guessing this is a problem with the android netflix app...but wanted to make sure there wasn't a trick.

Thanks man, at least I know its not me. I blame Netflix ... they dont really care about the Android client that much.
