Not getting time to flash the new rom. As soon as I do that, I will test the DTS passthrough and report.

New instructions in OP for new AC3,DTS passthrough from Rockchip.
Please test, it's from new beta ROM. Don't know if I included all the files correctly?

Just lowerformat & flash, everything is already correctly set-up.
Default parameter is 4GB, is used by default, ignore the other ones for Ugoos device, nothing to change.
Boot.img and resource.img are correct, uses HPH box files, don't have to use anything from Ugoos firmware to work on Ugoos device. Ugoos and HPH device use same board so everything will work.

My box is Ugoos UT3 and ask if someone can tell me all the steps for a semi-noob: D so as not to ruin my box.
I downloaded the rom and I unpacked, I found the following files in it:
AndroidTools, rockdev, sololauncher, and reelected driver readme AIST.
Now:

etc.
Sorry to have to say this, but I'm not skilled enough and I have to ask someone else to me
I want to enjoy myself this rom (thanks MO123), but can only with your help.

Instructions
Connect OTG cable to box and PC.
Hold paperclip/toothpick into reset hole while connecting the power to box.
It should now connect. If not reinstall the drivers and try again.

1. Unzip with 7z
2. Use the first tab of AndroidTool v2.3 to select the Images to flash from the ROM.
(Already set-up by default)
Default is 4GB Userdata, but can be replaced with updated above parameter files.
3. Click 'LowerFormat'
4. Click 'Run' to flash the ROM
5. Wait 5 minutes
6. Unplug device from PC.
7. Connect to display.

Where can I find the latest beta? Is it AC3 and DTS 5.1 passthrough in XBMC?

Don't know, think it's in the RKVideoPlayer, might work in XBMC also.
Will upload the update, no need to flash full ROM.

For AC3/DTS PT Testing
1. Flash boot.img
2. Copy files to system/lib
3. Restart device
4. Test PT
- RKVideo Player
- SPMC
- Kodi Beta 1 PT patched
- Kodi nightly
5. Then do the same but after copying patchedlibmedia.so as in step 2 also and restarting device. The patchedlibmedia.so file needs to be renamed to libmedia.so before copying.

Maybe someone can test it.

Rename bootanimation.zip.old to bootanimation.zip for a different bootanimation in my ROM.

- Long Pres Menu button to Hide Status Bar
- Long press Recent App button to turn direction keys into mouse mode
- Long press Power button to turn off, Short press for standby.

To go back to stock ROM, use RK Batch Tool v1.7 and click 'Restore'.
Or AndroidTool v2.3 and use the second tab to 'Erase flash' and 'Upgrade' ROM.

well about time i said a bit mo.... im getting the crash problem....it could be the backup im using from another setup ?.... or i thought it could be the xml setting..... or wifi as i can install ok when wifi is off..... but once the crashing starts it wont stop.... i could do a video and send you a link but im sure you know what it would look like ?..... pinky....ps....im not so sure about all the apps you have loaded on.... i feel like im using someone elses computer.....and hate the launcher... the stock for me is fine....i use this box as a glorified xbmc player and want to play 4k streams in the near future....so im deleting most of your apps for my taste.... thats my taste not anything against you....my customers have laptops and pcs to do main things with.....pinky

just read this post again.... after a good nights sleep how bad does it look.... i want to say thanks for your work Mo.... me and the settings are getting used to each other.... but still hate the launcher....there is a cable download rate prob this end.....and i get crashing or lets call it resetting when im doing setup..... it seems to settle down after a while....again.... top work..... pinky

Uploading a file over ethernet also work(or slow) or only internet over ethernet working?

Uploading and downloading is faster but the real difference is when browsing.

There was always more of a delay before but now the speed of loading pages feels more like my PC.

This is the same whether using Wifi or over Ethernet.
