    Sorry for my broken english.

rrileypm, I have a problem with parameter files

With the rom 1.9 I remane "paramenter1" to "parameter" and work fine for get more space. But with the ROM that you upload in post 5 don´t work. I have tried a few time, even using the "parameter1" from 1.9 with this ROM.

    Is only my problem?

    Thanks.

I have found the problem by myself and the bungler solution The flash tool use by defaul the file "parameter4" instead of "paramater".

          Viper4Android error

Hello guys, first of all, thank you for the great work done in this ROM. I dont know if this is the right place to ask, since i dont know if this is a rom related problem, but anyways, im going to ask anyway.

Today i flashed this rom into my Pipo M8HD, until now, the best rom so far i've tried. But im having a bit of trouble enabling the Viper4Android App (Audio Enhancement), it install drivers normally, but it did not enable the effects. If someone could help me, i would be very appreciated. (Sorry for my bad english)

There are two different versions of Viper4Android. If you can't get that one working....try the other one. I can't remember the exact one that worked on mine...but I did get it to work.

Hello there. I finally found time to flash this new ROM and whilst it seems to be fine there are one or two little niggles. Firstly, the last ROM didn't work with cifs manager but this one does seem to with one caveat - loading iocharset=utf8 doesn't work. This means that the files that have been mounted that have odd characters in their names either can't be seen or appear garbled. Does anyone know a) where I could get the necessary module to make this work and b) where I would put it?

Secondly, my m8 is the one that doesn't have 3g but I seem to be getting a massive battery drain from the device constantly seeking a mobile network. I've done my best to uninstall all the telephony things in android but that doesn't seem to have made any difference. As it is my battery only lasts for @2.5 hours at best. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for any help or ideas. Otherwise a great ROM and thanks a lot for taking the time to put it together.

              Paul

Thanks for testing. If you are able to find those modules...I'll be happy to include them in the ROM for you.

We only made one version of this ROM for both 3G and Wifi Only devices. I can make a wifi only version that has a more aggressive battery savings approach as I've done in the past. I just wasn't sure there was a demand for it.

Thanks you! Speedy reply and all! Well, I wouldn't say I'm demanding a wifi-only ROM, but it would be nice! I wonder if anyone else is in the same boat as me?

I'll see if I can find what I need for the utf thing and will report back if I have any success. As it is cifs manager mounts my NAS shares without any problem aside for the one mentioned. This is fantastic.

                    Hello guys!
Having troubles with HDMI connection to TV set.
Several months ago there was a native ROM on the tablet. When I connected it to my TV set with HDMI cable, it worked fine.
But now I have installed the Freaklab ROM and today I tried to connect my tab to TV set by HDMI and it failed. I set up the settings on the tab as well. But TV set says that there is NO SIGNAL.
                    What can I do?

                      Hi there!
Your offer to upload a wifi-only version of this ROM would be quite nice, though not super essential to the use in general, I guess.

Another thing that has been weighing heavily on my mind: How do you make that usb-audio work? Is there any special app needed to be installed/ modifications to the ROM be done first?
Simply plugging in that otg cable doesn't work unfortunately...

Furthermore, thanks so much to everyone that is contributing to this project! It is really appreciated and I hope to support in the future as well!

Yes. I agree... since battery performance is an important matter also for me...

Why do people use USB audio? Just curious.

                            Hi, I'm back

For usb audio what is your external DAC : mine is CM119 Chipset from C-Media
I don't need any apps to make it work.

And for D33, simply better sound

I will try to be more active ...

                              Hi,

I have just retested Epic Citadel, now get 46 FPS like what I get in JB !!!

I'm using hotplug governor and overclok kernel kernel_cpu1704h_gpu600_ddr667.img

                              Don't know why it's OK now !!!!

                                Dee :
usb audio sometimes solves gracefully the problem of not loud enough headphones, especially with a Terratec Aureo dual usb which drives heaphones with plenty of oomph
