As for the resolution information it was shown by the app "System Info for Android". I don't remember if I installed this app or it was already there. This was really a separate question since I highly doubt that your modifications to the ROM have anything to do with it.

Soirry if I phrased it in an abrupt way. It wasn't intentional.

No, I never change the resolution of DPI settings. Sometimes that causes problems with apps...especially with Google Play Store making a bunch of apps show up as incompatible with the device.
I'm not sure if those numbers are accurate or not. Antutu also provides a list of information like that...you might run that and compare the results.
I'm really not a numbers guy, though. I go by look and feel...yes I'm a little subjective...but I don't think benchmarks always do a device justice.Randy

I will sure give it a try as I get time. I'm busy with a product review project today.
My P1 has a touch screen problem that I need to dig into. So I may not be able to play much on it...but should see what you are talking about.Randy

I found out what the density measures actually mean. It's an Android system thing which is used by programmers to develop interfaces that don't change too much depending on the screen size and density. So the actual tablet is 1536x1952, but since it has a factor of 2, you can program applications so that they fit on a screen of half that resolution at 160 dpi and they will be scaled up. It doesn't mean that the screen is really either 160 dpi or 320 dpi. http://developer.android.com/guide/p...s_support.html

Unlock those missing 200MHz?
@rrileypm
Hi buddy!
I was thinking if might be possible to unlock those missing +200MHz of the P1?
My P1 doesn't come close to 41K (as shown in advertised tests), more like 36K in Antutu, I'm aware this doesn't tell everything about tablet performance but it feels like something is missing here.
Thanks!PIPO-P1@1.6GHz

On the RK3188's we were able to patch the kernels for better performance. But I haven't seen a way to do it on the RK3288's. Some of our kernel developers are looking at that right now.Randy

Cell standby?
Settings/Battery shows me 56% "android system", 33% "cell standby" and 11% "tablet idle". It has generally stayed somewhere around those ranges (I use the tablet mostly for ebooks).
This is a Wi-fi version of the tablet and "About tablet" says that it is using the Wifi version of the ROM. Airplane mode has been constantly on.
How am I getting "cell standby"?

I noticed that Pipo has a fresh firmware for the P1...through my secret channels. Changes refer to updated software.
I've put together a v1.9 ROM for 3G and Wifi.
On the wifi version, I'm attempting some more aggressive battery saving tweaks by removing all telephony apks...along with the usual tweaks I make to wifi versions. (Which is why I need to test some more).
Let me do some testing on Saturday with my P1 and I'll start a new thread if everything works OK. I just got done with the ROM, but ran out of time for testing before bed time.
Stay tuned!!!!!!Randy
