If wasser isn't able to reproduce the issue, maybe it would be helpful to support him with log files http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...-get-a-logfile

The only thing I "do" to get the dropouts is to set audio output to HDMI Bitstream in the android settings. The TV Box is connected to my AV Receiver. Then I can play a movie/music with any app and I get random audio dropouts. Do you have your box connected to an AV Receiver wasser? I can understand that you can't reproduce the dropouts if you have the the box connected directly to the TV, then there is no problem with dropouts.

Appreciate all your effort! Thanks for the new v2.0.9, will try it later today!

    You can't.

You will have to backup data/apps first.

Installed 2.0.9 on my R28 Meta and the first thing that I noticed was that whilst I was able to see both 2.4 and 5Ghz wireless networks, I was only able to connect on 2.4.

Update: It's now decided to connect although nothing has changed.

You can find it at the 2.0.8 img... you have to unpack the all-in-one image with AndroidToolv2.3 at the tab [Advanced Functions] at "Firmware"...
First you have to select the all-in-one image with [...] and then press [Unpack]
Then you will find at the sub-folder/directory "Output\Android\Image" the files...

The dropouts happens with all apps(Youtube, SPMC, Spotify, etc.) How often it happen is very random, sometimes it is every 20-30s and sometimes I can watch a full movie without getting a dropout. Is this occurring for others too? Is it better to use SPDIF than HDMI Passthrough?

I go to Settings>Sound>Sound Device Manager & it doesn't have an option to select HDMI Passthrough. Only SPDIF Passthrough.

    Any idea's gentleman? Much appreciated!

I had the same, put it down to the kernel being too old for the new firmware.

Use overclockmatic in terminal emulator and keep the current included kernel. Don't expect to see too much improvement as I believe the GPU and DDR are already clocked very high.
