Overclocked RK3288 kernels

I realize I'm a long way off the pace with regard to the RK3288 code compared to Leolas, Mo123 and Wasser but this thread is for my builds of the RK3288 kernel.

The initial version is clocked at 2.0 GHz with gpu @ 600 MHz and the DDR at 648 MHz. WiFi is AP6335 and Realtek 8188. This works well for me and provides an Antutu 5.3 score of 40k. However, it does get the box warm and so please use caution and, obviously, use at your own risk.

Added components are:
NTFS
NFS
CIFS/Samba

Download here and flash the kernel and resource files. Remember they will only work with a ROM that has a boot.img without kernel in it!

I think it would be nice, if you also support AP6210, because netxeon use it a the pcb for 2/8GB devices...

Thank you, Fire fly running scalable 3.16 to 2.01. Little too much heat (have a new 5v 4.6 cfm fan coming) to replace the old low flow. NO GPU or DDR yet. CPU to 1.4 v is this the same for you. I am using RKCrewtablet R-Box for working from.

Worked from the file tree, changed freq and then voltage to 1.4v for the 2 new additions and removed bottom 2 freq. Saved and installed, compiled Android with the o/c Kernel. Antutu 5.3 was used and the results were all the same within 1000 on o/c Kernel and non o/c with r-box, my android, firefly android. Any advice other than "Leave it to the Pros", still have ddr and gpu. Won't talk about power supply. With mouse, keyboard, ssd, cooling fan, and wifi hub. Stress does Swat the fly--5v3a in the mail, newer other manufacturers have gone to 3A.

I don't really understand what you are saying Bob. Are you asking how to overclock the DDR & GPU?

My kernel has 1,992 MHz CPU @ 1.375 V.

Guess really beating head against the a wall. Starting again with all three cpu, ddr, and gpu . Hitting voltage limits on board with a lot of additions, so will increase it. Trying new cpu today with a per step freq , voltage instead of a range for the same. DDR & GPU Help, yes.

YES. I have brain damage from the wall, researched what and why the strange range of voltages. They say for safety concerns for cpu. Also looked at gpu and ddr and it is also different from working with rk31 and rk30. I will rewrite with only freq and ONE voltage for each. Worry later about ddr and gpu.

Glad to see your new work again
Tried to flash myCS918II (HTC-031-V1.0 PCB with AP6330 wifi) with your kernel+resource for test purpose.
Unfortunately my device doesn't boot at all.
I use a bit less OC settings for resource CPU1896/DDR672/GPU480 and it works great and stable, tried to change my settings to CPU1992, but refused due to absence of additional heat sink.
What model(PCB) your device is?
Can you adjust you kernel+resource for HTC-031/032 boards?

Have my firefly o/c'ed. only cpu haven't figured out ddr or gpu. Running at 2112 at 60C with heat sink and fan (cpu temp sensor from adafuit). Antutu 40+. help needed on ddr and gpu.

Thanks D33 I'll try with the mk902ii. Just have to split the stock rom so I can switch out the kernel.

Lost and Found

While working with some stress testing of my kernels, had noticed that (temp) was mentioned several times, this temp that has been in the file systems but could not find an output. I found an apk "SetCPU" and The Firefly has the CPU Temp display in C and F in the SetCPU apk.

Is this kernel for android, Linux or both?

If android, is there a way I can modify the resource.img to keep my stock Tronsmart r28 IR remote functioning? I'm currently using mo123's latest kernel but with stock Tronsmart 110K4 resource image, misc image, and boot image so that IR still works.

I'm not 100% sure which image made the IR work again with his kernel but I have a feeling it is resource.

Perhaps you can upload the file changes made so that I can apply them, or do you think that this won't work?

How does one modify the DDR/GPU clock speeds? Is there a good starting place to research how to make custom kernels. I'm currently using a Ugoos UT3 w/ fan (firmware 2.05b), which runs very cool (with the cover off) and wouldn't mind boosting CPU/RAM/GPU. Thanks
