Thanks. Do you know when the Kitkat version of WeTek will be out? I don't mind testing the build versions that already have the revamped theater app.

Christian, good day. Faced with such a problem. In latest your firmware ROM (CM11) on 2015-04-06 T2 player does not scan channels. I in the configuration of Tvheadend doing everything according to the instructions from WeTek. But no channels. And applications WeTek theatre in your firmware not included, to test the functionality of the T2 tuner on your firmware. If native to flash the firmware of the TV programme WeTek theatre caught.

DVB-T has no problems, I'm using it successfully in my kitchen with latest rom, be sure that you're setting up tvheadend correctly looking at one of the tutorials linked in the op's release notes.

You can try to flash OE 5.0.8 in the nand as well as it will update uboot to the latest one that has some improvements for newer dvb drivers, or you can try to flash https://mega.co.nz/#!8opTgDxK[/COLOR]!EZilaX0mHlmTlnvJhks2B4xkv-zw-HTtE0B0462C53A]this zip that should flash the bootloader only (but I don't publish it because it's not been tested too much)

As stated in the OP, WeTek Theater will never work with these DVB drivers so you'll have or Tvheadend, or WeTek Theater.

Thank you for all the passionate work you've done on the Wetek Play, ChristianTroy. The community needs more people like you. I tried your CM 12 ATV build and decided against it due to the limited processing power available and the platform's young age. Google just released their own live tv app, called "Live Channels for Android TV" and it is capable of interfacing with a built in tuner or something like an HDHomeRun. I installed it and it crashed but I figured you will be able to get some use out of it.

I eventually settled on your CM 11 build, and I have configured TVH via the web interface. It scanned the ATSC channels (located in Canada) and found 15. However, I cannot get it to interface properly with the Kodi PVR add-on. I am using "localhost" for the IP address (have tried the actual network IP address as well), and a variety of usernames and passwords. The Live TV tab will not show up in Confluence, and if you switch the skin it is evident that the TVH add-on isn't initializing properly. Do you know what might be going on here?

LordMerlin WeTek Theater is incompatible with the drivers, while WeCloud Antenna requires WeTek OS but you could try the plugin for Kodi to use WeCloud Antenna's IPTV channels, you can find more info about it in OpenELEC section of official WeTek forum support www.wetekforums.com

saunders73 Which Kodi build are you using? I suggest you to use the one from the second post. Purge the folder "/sdcard/Android/data/org.xbmc.kodi" so you will start with a clean install, just go to the disabled add-ons section and enable HTSP client, you don't have to configure anything as it will just connect automatically.

Do you mean that the driver in your assembly are incompatible with WeTek Theater?

                  Comment

Exactly. Those drivers are fully DVBAPI compliant and don't work with Amlogic DVB code that use a version modified by them. That's why Amlogic drivers don't work with tvheadend/vdr/etc and viceversa.

                        Hello,

I try for some hours now to install the ATV rom to my wetek play. Installation works flawless, but after first boot the initial setup never finishes. I don't touch the language like advised, login to my google account, but after the question for the location service I get a black screen that stays there even for hours. Mouse cursor can be moved, the back button works, and I can use F4 for power down or shutoff, nothing else.

If I install only the rom, installation finishes like expected. I installed then the gapps afterwords and this time the setup succeeded and I have the expected look and feel of android tv. But now the google play store crashes on every try.

Is there another version of the gapps available that I could try?

                        Gerald
