Hi, how did you manage to install a launcher from within Kodi? I'm trying everything here..It always boots me into Kodi and I can't seem to get out and get to the main screen with the apps and all. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

You can try by choosing Exit from Kodi's quit-shutdown menu

I am trying to install this update.
I have extracted the zip file to the root of the USB ( i also try it with SD CARD same happent) but when i try to update the firmware from EXT and then select USB (or sd card) it does not see any uptade file to update it with.

you are extracting the zip file once and placing onto usb or sdcard right?

put recovery.img on root of usb stick and do the toothpick

also keep in mind that once you flash you will get blank screen for around 30 - 60 seconds don't panic it normal. once you get to the kodi launcher please wait 1min to 2min first time then use the box after reboot you will get laucher menu spmc 13.4.0 or kodi 14.1

How to get into recovery mode ? OTT M8

Hi all,
I recently got the OTT M8 box and It could not go into the recovery mode. I tried all the way you said but it just restart the box. Please help me to update this awesome ROM Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

hieutt, I too have an OTT M8N and in order to boot into recovery, you need to use a toothpick in the A/V port. The reset button is in the center. Press this while plugging the power in. Wait until you see a logo. Release the toothpick and the unit will boot into recovery.

I unzip JM's posted .zip and take the .zip of the update and copy it to a thumb drive. If you use all 3 of the files on the original zip, the install will happen automatically. If you copy the update .zip to a thumb drive, install EXT from udisk instead of sdcard.

I have had zero problems installing his ROMs. Be patient while his scripts do the work.

Thanks cjeman I flashed the ROM with recovery.img on SD card The ROM was so awesome and incredibly smooth.

Can you tell me how you use ps3 ?
Just pair that controller and use it with bluetooth address ? I guess you are using Sixasix Controller
