    Thanks
    From OP:

    Devices supported:
    • MK808B Plus - reported to work on Tronsmart MK808B Plus and MK809 Plus
    • Nexteon-made MXQ (a.k.a. Beelink MXQ - with red "MX" on top)
Semi-supported devices (builds are working but I don't have the boxes to debug them):
    • HD18Q (a.k.a. all-black MXQ, OTT MXQ)
    • I will not support/build for any other device I don't have
Looks like it should work but there's lots of variations on the same theme with these boxes.
Take a backup of your original ROM before installing anything, and save it somewhere else other than your device i.e. USB stick or sdcard.

So far box has stayed on for over 10 hours no shut downs or freezes. Led's messed up, I have red on full boot. Remote (OK) button not working and I could swear I used the same remote.conf I used before for 6.0.1.1 and the OK button was fine. Strange stuff

Infact on remote only navigation/power off/on works. Nothing else working like ok, return, context

        Many Thanks

After the first lot of symptoms going from stable 6.0.0.2 to 6.0.1.3 which included changes to my led's after reboots, or loss of skin. I managed to get 6.0.1.3 to stay stable for 24 hours now. To the best of my knowledge this is how i did it. I restored my box to 6.0.0.2 using twrp restore, then updated using MXQ 6.0.1.3 and putting an old tested remote.conf in the config folder but I still had no functions on remote only power and directions. I wait until the bug happens that changes my led's I then flash HD18Q 6.0.1.3 over the top and then lastly i flash the bootloader from 5.95.x to restore my led's back to normal. i have rebooted a few times now and it seems good and no freezes or unexpected shutdowns(YET) in the last 24 hours, some use mainly been idle.

        Many Thanks to kszaq

        Update
        ----------

6.0.1.3 has restarted on 2 occasions so far, not the box, just Kodi fast crash and restart but apart from that box is still working and led's are still how they should be

          Hello everyone
Perhaps someone will be able to help me.I have a MXQ s805 (with red stripe) and want to try to boot into Openelec from SD.But first I managed to backup with TWRP. I backed up the system cashe and data. I got 4 folders and in the last folder 12 files. Back up has 2,3GB. Now I would like to flash my box using this backup, but I don't know how to do that. Can you tell me how to do that, step by step, as i'm a noob?

          Thanks in advance

Boot into twrp recovery and select Restore from the menu. If you have the back up on sdcard or USB stick make sure you select the right storage option when twrp asks you to select the back up to restore.
              Hope this helps

Hi, I am a newbie also (in android, not in computers) and I need a little help:
I have a MK808B Plus (clone) wifi: RTL 8723BS Stock ROM: KOT49H.20150618 test keys

I want to install OpenElec in SD Card but I have a problem.
I download 6.0.1.3 (twice) and write the Image with Win32DiskImager no problem, but I only get 2 files: kernel.img and SYSTEM not 5 files as readme says.
No problem I download 6.0.1.2 because kszaq says what makes no difference for my hardware.
I write the image to the SD card, all ok. 5 files.

I boot with the toothpick method, Google TV Logo.... Green Android logo... process bar grows to a 10-15% then Black Screen, Google Logo again and boot in Android.

I tried this procedure several times, 2 different SD Cards, formatted with SDFormatter, same result.

                I am doing something wrong?
                Any advice is welcome.
                Thanks in advance.

                  1. Update your Android on NAND to this version (You can just take the full unextracted .zip and put it on a usb stick or SDCard and then within Android you can just use the update app and point to the .zip and it will take care of the rest) :

http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...23-and-mxq-s852. Then download and extract this .zip to your SDCard

                  http://s805.eu/releases/6.0.1.2/uenv...0.1.2-uenv.zip

                  3. Insert SDCard and Boot using toothpick method (It will update the udev) and reboot to android

                  4. When android loads up you can shut down the stick...then flash Kszaq's 6.0.1.2 to your SDCard using this img

                  http://s805.eu/releases/6.0.1.2/SD/O...6.0.1.2.img.gz

                  5. Place the SDCard back into the stick and then power on and you will boot openelec from SDCard.

(Basically you missed the udev update process...but following my instructions will get you back on track with a true 1080p bootscreen and loader so you wont see your TV make resolution changes durring boot)

                    1. CEC is turned off in Android/kernel command line. To check if that's the case, connect over SSH and type: cat /proc/cmdline. You should look for hdmitx parameter. If it's empty or cec0, it means you have to turn CEC back on. There are three ways to do this:
                      • Boot into Android and turn CEC back on. You might have to re-apply uenv patch to boot back to OpenELEC on SD card.
                      • Download a file for your CEC preference from http://s805.eu/releases/CEC-uenv-modifier/ , unpack it to SD card and install using toothpick method. These ZIPs change uenv variable that determines CEC configuration.
                      • Add a file named autostart.sh to your Configfiles folder with the following content:
                        Code:
                        echo 0xf > /sys/class/amhdmitx/amhdmitx0/cec_config
                    2. I included a patch that actually fixed CEC for LG TVs for some users. I have compiled a build with this path reverted, you can try using it: http://s805.eu/test/6.0.1.3-nosimplink/
Please let me know if any of these worked for you.
Thanks for the build mate but unfortunately CEC still isn't working on the LG TV

Hello sammaz ! Made a lot of tries with an original Mk808b+ from Beelink ( I believe it is a AP6212 stick, CM12 and Android TV rom are without wifi ) , loaded Superceleron 1.4 and 1.4b ( this one has TWRP recovery built in ), NEVER I have succeded to load OE on SDcard, Trying one more time in a while as I write this. In the last days I loaded OE on Sdcard in MXQ S85 and in MXIII-G without all these problems, I dunno why! Maybe I better try first with original 112K4 ? Suggestions if any?
                      Regards
                      Alessandro

But, there not are a way to make it without loose my Stock ROM?
I read all kind of problems because changing the stock rom. Loosing wifi, loosing Google Play, Sopcast not working, changing the bootloader, etc.
This Superceleron is safe? Don't change the bootloader?

Besides Kszaq's 6.0.1.2 dont include udev update?
Why my stock rom don't update?
There is not a way to see the process besides the Green Android, a console linux type to see wich error abort the instalation?

                        Thanks!

As per Android sharpness, usability, stability, etc. there isn't nothing else in my opinion as the Superceleron rom. Didn't tried Cm11 nor 12 from C. Troy, also here, but tried Google TV (based on Cm12), not so quick! Also stock 112k4 has many unfinished refinements I want to avoid to do myself if there is a all in one solution as Superceleron, so do not dare the installation!
Edit: Save your preferred apps and settings or with Esfileexplorer or with Titanium Backup! Files to be on a separate Sd or drive!
Problem is maybe I better try with 6.0.0.1 first, in my ( till now) unsuccessful experience with mine Mk808b plus. I successfully installed on Mxq s85, so I am going to follow my previous sequence!

the readme on github says the SD card should contain 5 files ... I only see kernel.img and system

This is it, in 6.0.1.3 , strange!
On a side note, cartucho16 Superceleron for your 8723 device is based on 128k3 rom.

hello to all, i been following this post for the last copule of weeks, i have an all black OTT MXQ box as follows:

Inside the motherboard are the following text:

                                MXQ-S805-V1.2 2015-05-20
                                HD18Q_V1.2 2015/05/09
                                wifi chip is RTL8188ETV

i had Megatron rom, i beleive it was V2 for clones, i was working fine, i mostly used the box for KODI, then i saw this rom and had to try it, so i did, and the first version i tried was 6.0.1.1, it worked just as advertised and i have to say i was all i expected, the box works great. updates and flashing were made trough SD card.

i had an accident were my box fell from about 2 feet, unfortunately it had an SD card inserted, the SD card hit the floor and ripped the SD card holder out the mother board, so now i dont have the possibility of flashing trough it. but i still can do it from USB.

any way i wanted to update to 6.0.1.2 ad did it trough the file manager (per updating instructions), the update was made and after reboot it keeps rebooting, so i tried to flash everything from scratch, i could no longer use megatron as it does not work from USB only from SD, so thats out.

i flashed androd, booted, completed the setup, then flashed 6.0.1.2 (toothpick method and USB), and still the same, i have also tried 6.0.1.3 same result, so i went back and tried 6.0.1.1, and also bootloader, as this is the last version that has a bootloader to flash, and it works.

so basically i can not upgrade 6.0.1.1 to 6.0.1.2 or 6.0.1.3, my question for you guys is if i am stuck in 6.0.1.1 (even though it works just fine) like most flash enthusiast i like to have the latest rom installed.

i thied the UENV variables flash, but it fails as it show some kind of error. could this be the cause for versions 6.0.1.2 and 6.0.1.3 not booting.

like i said worst case, i have 6.0.1.1 up and running just fine, but would like to update if possible.

i do not have the original rom for the box, i use the following Android rom and it works, except for the front led:

if anyone has soome advise i would greatly apreciate it.

                                thanks.
