For drivers go to the above link in my first post.and use the pipo x7 and go to device managment and browse for the drivers and install them ,almost all the drivers are same as that of pipo x7 so that will be taken care of.I spent almost 72 hours in dealing with this and finding out all the above.

Can this unit be powered via the micro-USB port? My monitor has a high power USB output (2A).

I bought this a 5V 3A adapter from aliexpress and it is able to power the Ainol. In case you need a backup power adapter.

I have tried a couple and they appear to fit loose.
Pin that sits in the barrel of connector appears to be thinner the normal

Is it a good snug fit or is there some movement

After receiving my Ainol this week, I've changed some BIOS Settings (without creating an BIOS backup before) and now I'm unfortunately not able to get into my BIOS and reset the Default Settings anymore. For doing this, I would need the Original BIOS Image File, wich can easily created by performing the following steps:

1) Download and extract the Windows based AMI AFUWIN Flasher 5.05.04 (afuwin-5.05.04) archive from wimsbios.com/amiflasher.jsp to Disk C
2) Open the extracted afuwin32 folder, run the afuwingui.exe as an administrator, press "Save" and save the Ainol BIOS Image File (afuwin.rom) to Disk C

I would very much appreciate it, if any of you could follow this 2 steps and provide this file.

P.S.: Resseting the CMOS / BIOS Settings can be done with the same tool, by performing the following steps:

1) Press "Open" and select the backuped BIOS Image File (afuwin.rom)
2) Uncheck "Main BIOS Image" and check "NVRAM" instead
3) Press "Flash"
4) Access the BIOS and press F3 to reset the factory defaults

The missing USB 3.0 port should cause no problems. I also got one of the newer devices with USB 2.0 only.
