Good news! (well for me anyway). The issue was not corrupt NAND, but was because the package I was using had an outdated loader (2.06 vs 2.08). This was updated in the 9G2 package, and it now works perfectly.

The 10 G2 V1.3 already has loader 2.08 in it.

He must not have been checking the box for installing the new loader!

Daman please check your version 1.3 to be sure. In the Image directory should be loader 2.08

The update was pretty smooth. I did have the "limited apps" issue in the Market, but deleting those folders did fix it.

For anyone who cares, I'm using the Philly Tablet and it works just fine rooted

firmware 1.3

I unziped and viewed the folders. I installed the drivers from the 1.1 version is it the same, if so will it have to be reinstalled on the next version since it will have to be reset? Another question is that I understand from other post that I have to flash the G2 back to the original firmware before installing 1.3, does this have to be done or can it be installed from 1.1 without issues? The first install I had issues because win7 would only let me install the drivers from a cd, so I had to load the drivers on a cd and then install from it.

If you have the drivers installed already you do not need to reinstall the drivers.

Also not sure where you read that you have to flash back ot the stock ROM. You do not need to do that. Just make sure you erase IDB when you flash 1.3

I am assuming that the IDB is on the root of the G2 that needs to be erased, does it have to be removed prior to the flash or after. Sorry for all of the questions, kind of new.

When you open up the rkupdate program that is in the firmware folder that
You download, the erase idb is run from that program. Run this first before
You do anything, then run the install from the same program.

Thanks. So as I said Loader 2.08 is already part of the package. From now on I am going to use Loader 2.08 for eveyrthing as 2.06 appears to have some issues for some.

What about the rockchip tool that is used, from reading on another post is there an updated program or would that not be of any real benefit

Sowa is making a update.img and using a newer RKBatch tool. At this point I am considering doing that but my concern is we will get lots of reports of bricks as I know some people will try to update by copying update.img to the SDCard which will not work. Using the RKAndroid tool I use that mistake cannot be made.

Both tools use the same drivers so people do not have to go through the driver thing to use either flash tool.

I have not seen a newer RKAndroid tool newer than 1.29 myself. IUf someone knows of a newer version please let me know and I will test it.
