Mk802 III Finless ROM ?

Hi all, I've flashed to Finless 1.7 ROM on my MK802 III but my WiFi is now broken. Any tips before reverting back to stock?

I've done my reading and think I need to flash the stock kernel over Finless 1.7 or copy a wifi*.ko file from the stock image. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Update: I flashed the MK808 Original Non-B model version. Should I be using a different version of the 1.7 release, MK808B Original (not for clones) or MK808 Sunvel Clone instead?

I do not believe the stock update.zip flashes the stock kernel when placed on sd card and use recovery. However if you use the RKbatch tool and flash the update.zip using restore button, it will flash the kernel.

@Finless, i installed the 1.7 on my Mk802 III, what happens if i want to go back on a stock version? It's enough to put the update.zip on the sdCard as before? Or it will mess something related to new kernel?

I've sucessfully flashed finless 1.7 on my MK802III. So far so good, it works nicely.
But it's all rather small to read on 1080p. Setting font size to huge already helped a bit, but not enough. So I decided to increase the dpi settings to 240. Unfortunately I tried with 2 different tools, and twice ended up with an ususable result.
Did anybody succeed to increase the dpi settings?

Running ug802 1.7, and it seems ok. Would love to know if we could get USB bluetooth support with an 802III rom. Poking around in the Finless 1.7, I see some bluetooth stuff, but it doesn't look like any of it is active?

Is there any hope? Or are we better off scraping this one and buyng that neo X5 I saw you review, Finless?

Windows 8 installation driver

Have you installed the latest update from Rikomagic? sounds like it may not be rooted. I had the same problem, did a factory reste then installed the update and then had to use another computer as my laptop with Win 8 did not work. Good luck

Have you tried the 'Disable Driver Signature Enforcement' option? Like in this video? Maybe it helps...

Bob, after I flash 1.7, I just can get start screen, and stop there. looks like update not fineshed. what can i do right now. the flash tool could find it any more. Please give a hand.
