Me too I have the same problem as T68 described.

I just bought your app this week and tried the beta 2.75, its the best launcher I tried so far!! good job!!

So my only concern is that it doesnt work well with a controller using the D-pad, I can't navigate through the tiles (but it works with the tiles inside a folder apps though). When returning to the main menu, moving the D-pad doesnt pick an icon so its hard to move around. Im having hard times moving through the grey bar and the titles bar etc. I guess its not yet optimized for dpad navigation.

Other thing, can you add the function to hide some apps in the all apps section? It was available in your old launcher, i loved it since its easier to search my others apps. thanks!!!

I disabled the screen saver, rebooted and all tiles were gone. Is there a way that I can get them back without adding them one by one?
I haven't bought the app yet since the beta looks good, but doesn't seem to be close to stable right now.
Besides, I can't see the price without entering the credit card number. What would it be?

I had the same problem, but i bought the version on the play store at the beginning of this thread, the license is still working in the beta. My launcher is empty when I reboot, I have to force close a few times the launcher and reopen the app, then its all good.

My D-pad only moves the RSS, right or left, so I can't navigate the launcher with D-pad.

          error

          samyboy,

great work on the beta, looks really good.

unfortunately i am a paid up customer but i cannot use the app due to an error.

when i boot my android smart tv box, your launcher is thed efault and tries to load but the error says:

"Error: Failed to query inventory: LabResult: Error refreshing inventory (querying prices of items). (response: 6: Error)"

Once I click ok on the error all my icons are missing (i just get grey boxes) with a line of text in each one saying "failed to load images, click to try again" and that works.

I emailed you about this a few months ago and at the time you said it was a known error that you would be looking at.

Are you unable to fix the issue? anything i can provide like logs for example to help?

          any thoughts much appreciated.

Hope all of you are happy with the new app As I've said before. I've worked alot on this version. There is about 100 pre-made icon tiles. They are downloaded from the internet as you use the app. And only those applications you have installed will icon tiles be downloaded for.

More icon tiles are coming rapidly!!

The application has a one main screen, with two menus, one on each side. To the left you’ll find you can add different tiles to the main screen. To the right you find all applications. Step By Step Guide HERE http://androidtvguys.com/2013/05/tv-...-0-8-hands-on/

              HEY GUYS

BIG FAN of what you have going on here. I am not sure if you are familiar with XBMC at all... but ever Android device I own... (along with a dozen other devices) is designed and dedicated to all things XBMC. This skin is the answer to all my prayers in this regard. It would seem that I can find no clever way to get this thing working on my OUYA however. I have paid for it twice now on different machines with different accounts... and I have high hopes for it as you continue to sort things out.

i mentioned in an email to you... that I may want to do a write up about your skin on one of my sites if that would be okay with you... there are so FEW players in the launchers for tv category... that it is alarming. That said... it helps you stand out

Any way... I am trying to get the beta to load unlimited CUSTOM APPS as i thought this is what oyu said 2.75 would do... but this isnt the case for me. I can load all of your premade icons (5 on my device) and ZERO custom. Any help... ideas... or directions would be appreciated.

Are there any plans to upgrade this app out of Beta? There is great potential however for the price paid it would be nice to have a fully stable release. For each version I have tried there are pitfalls that make it unstable or non user friendly.

Please make a polished stable version.

No, he had absolutley no plans of ever updating this to a final release, in fact he was thinking about keeping it in beta forever because he didn't know anyone wanted a stable version, but now that you requested it, I am sure he will whip up a stable version for you immediately. All these bugs that us "beta testers" are helping him fix are just going to magically vanish or fix themselves because you want a stable version. Well, just to let you in on a secret, there is a semi-stable version available, it's called TVLauncher 2.08 in the Play Store, so if you are unhappy with the beta 2.75, nobody is twisting your arm to use it. Better yet, since you seem to think coding and bug fixing are so easy that he should be able to whip out a stable version for you, why not just go program your own launcher. We all paid for this as well, and you don't see the rest of us complaining... You are a piece of work you know that? Unbelievable!

And btw, there is no such thing as a "stable" piece of software, but I guess you haven't noticed how Microsoft, Apple and Google release bug fixes to there operating systems, huh... All software is basically beta and a rat race to keep the bugs from creeping to the front, it's the nature of the beast, but if technology is too unstable for you, why not go play with an abacus, I hear they are really stable.

And before you get angry and go off, remember this, you make stupid statements in a post and you are going to get stupid responses, that is also the nature of the beast

I'm afraid that I have to disagree with you and you are the one that is right out of line.

All that was being asked was a simple question.

I have yet to come across an app on the Play Store that is in beta, or for that matter any other product that has been sold whilst at such a stage.

We all know that there are many products out there from the likes of Microsoft, Apple etc where bugs are discovered but that is inevitable with software and operating systems that have to cater for combinations of other software and hardware that cannot be reasonably tested.

It makes more sense for the longer term reputation of any developer to only charge for a product when they feel that it's stability can be deemed as being reasonably suitable for general use.

Otherwise you risk too much potential negative feedback (whether justified or not) to make the product something that is commercially viable, which could see something that has potential being abandoned too early on.

Hi guys, I'm really sorry for not being able to provide a fully stable version atm. I'm really working on this project a lot. I'm in the middle of my exams period as well so I don't have that much time. But I will be finished with them (exams) on the 6th of June. I'll try my best to update the version on play store the weekend after and continue from there. I'll implement the new beta and alpha testing functions with the new play services.

Hope you all understand my situation.

Please don't believe I've abandoned this project. I just need to do first thing first, and that's school.

                      Sam

You are joking, right? Seriously? You are going to stand by that statement? You must not download very many apps from the Play store or run many apps on your computer either. Nearly EVERY app has bugs, period. Hell, look at Netflix and Hulu, big companies and their apps are riddled with bugs and crashes. If you think developers actually wait till every bug is fixed before releasing a paid application, you are living in a dream world. And the idea that bugs only creep up because of hardware changes? are you serious? I have been a developer in both compiled code and script for nearly 30 years, I have developed both commercial computer applications and web services as well as freeware apps, so lets not kid ourselves here, alright? It is what is, and developers don't release software KNOWING there are bugs, but when they feel it is stable, they release, which is exactly what was done in this case. TVLauncher 2.08 was considered stable, but until you get it out in the open, you never can tell, and bugs have creeped up. That is also why he is doing BETA testing here in the forums for the future releases, so that he can quash the bugs to the point he feels the new version is stable, but to come in here during an obvious beta testing session and ask if he ever plans to make a stable version is, at the very least, insulting, especially coming from someone who themselves has never developed a piece of software, and if you tell me that unlike the original poster, you are a developer, I'll laugh in your face, because any developer that thinks there is such a think as a truly "stable" application is out of their mind.

Honestly the only thing required in the latest beta would be D-Pad support. Is this possible?
