new imito mk1 from amazon looks like a total fake === how do I check to be sure

Not all apps will see the right frequency, I know CpuSpy is accurate though.

Well I'm not worried about the frequency, I know depending on usage the frequency can change. What I want to see if the app I used identifies other iMito's as a UG007.

Mine shows the processor running 252 mhz up to 1200 on processor 1

252 up to 1008 on processor 2

rockchip rk3066x2 1.6 running at 1.2

declared cpu speed 1609mhz (not applicableon this device)

mine did but -----

mine on the first boot had a boot screen saying R-BOX

other than that who knows Vali claims that he is selling Imito mx1 units but says he gets them from many different companies .... kinda BS if you ask me and I know mine is not a real Imito and is a clone I bought a Imito from Geekbuying to compare and the chipsets are totaly different nothing except the blue tooth/wifi module was the same at all including the rk3066 chip but it did take the finless rom and runs pretty good, but the video quality is not as good as the Imito's ramdon white pixels sparkle around with some videos on it but not on the Imito mx1 from GB....

I dont have any experience with these things other than these two units so IM not sure about what ug007 can handle

I would really liked to have had this app last week I would have been able to argue my case against Vali better .... as it is I got $18 back off the price he charged me but I would have filed a complaint instead of just contacting amazon over this ....

I really would like to know if mine was a ug007 as well..... would you be willing to open it upand look at the pcb color and the numbers silk screened on it ? that would confirm wheter or not we have the same unit positively

Is it easy to put back together?

very easy ... there is a tiny screw in the front between the usb ports that you remove then with a fingernail gently pry the plastic bezel away from the case.The entire unit then slides out by pushing it towards the back ... remove the sd card first though and be gentle with it and do not pull on the Hdmi connector in the back. Some people report usb ports and hdmi connectors breaking easily on cheap units .... uutting it back together is just as easy slide it back in replace the bezel and replace the screw ... gentle with how tightly you insert the screw the plastic dosent handle over tightening it. Even without the screw the bezel stays on but the unit will be just a tiny bit loose if the screw strips the hole .... a drop of locktite or elmers ect fixes that if you over tighten and mine even having striped the hole out its not a issue .

LOL the hardest part is having a screwdriver that small I have a entire set just to use for cell phones and small stuff myself

Im betting mine is a ug007 also since you say it g=has the R-BOX boot screen.

I went to the section on ug007 here on finless and yes you can flash finless 1.5 just like I did

The color of my PCB is blue, but all the chips are positioned exactly the same as your green one.

All I can make out on The Rockchip is #: 424 1249
