But I can't assure that this will work for all sticks.

    Imito mx1 running cwm

Hi Leolas, I'm using the above switching between finless 1.7b and the 4.2 rom because some streaming apk sites can't run in 4.2 (cannot figure out why) and it's so convenient instead of having to flash thru pc but once I encounter it hang at the bootup screen rebooting it thru ctrl-alt-del was possible but still remain at the same screen. Was wondering is it possible to boot into recovery mode thru some key combination as in phones. Thanks in advance.

    RK3066 4.22 CWM recovery problems

You need the rom for rk3066 with ap6210 wifi, you can find it if you search freaktab for it, there's a thread for it.
Also the regular cwm for mk808b do not work on this device. also the genereic cwm for rk3066 which is available doesn't work, and when installing it results in these errors you got (unable to mount /cache etc).

    I'm attaching a working cwm recovery.img.
What I did was to unpack the recovery.img from the available cwm generic for rk3066. and replaced the rk3066 modules files in the root directory with the stock firmware modules (i also changed recovery.fstab but I dont think it is necessary).
I then flashed this modified recovery.img using dd and cwm now works!
maybe someone can take this recovery.img and make an update.zip from it.

I wos having the same problem with the new 4.22 roms for my RK802IIIS/BT so I wos doing like You wos doing and all wos working but not the internal and externa sd-cards.
They have changing the mountpoint in the 4.22 roms for them so I wos putting the old in the recovery.fstab :

    # mount point fstype device [device2]
    #4.22 stock /mnt/sdcard vfat /dev/block/mtd/by-name/user
    #4.22 stock /mnt/external_sd vfat /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 /dev/block/mmcblk0

    /sdcard vfat /dev/block/mtd/by-name/user lun=/sys/class/android_usb/android0/f_mass_storage/lun/file
    /external_sd vfat /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 /dev/block/mmcblk0 lun=/sys/class/android_usb/android0/f_mass_storage/lun1/file

    /system ext4 /dev/block/mtd/by-name/system
    /cache ext4 /dev/block/mtd/by-name/cache
    /data ext4 /dev/block/mtd/by-name/userdata
    /cust ext4 /dev/block/mtd/by-name/cust
    /misc mtd misc
    /parameter mtd parameter
    /boot mtd boot
    /recovery mtd recovery
    /backup mtd backup

Now all its working only cust its not possible mounting becos my rom dont have that

I wos flashing the new recovery with the normal RKFlashtool with the parameters extracted from the stock update image and it wos working good.

I just want to ask if there is any chance to having a working CWM recovery for Minix Neo G4 108C version.
The existing cwm recovery from here works only on 108A version of Neo G4.
The stock rom for Neo G4 108C is http://www.minix.com.hk/Support/13101717032507.html

To root the device, the easier way is using morobo and Tspatky (or so, don't remember exactly the name) now is so late here in Spain, and I am going to bed, I will try to search for a easy guide tomorrow.
