There is something wrong with this image and I cant use it. First it needs to be 1280x600 and I need it in PNG format as this JPG you uploaded wont work through my converter for some reason.

FYI you will find some other interesting settings in there too!

Here is what I have played with:
Go Dialer. Installs as part of Go Launcher or some other GO widget or app. You do not see this at all except in anycut. It is a bitchen dial pad that will work with google voice and an app called google voice call back!!

Voice input and output with text to speech and speech to text

Proxy settings!!!!! I have not tested that yet to see if it actually works!

SIP settings. Yes this works IF you have a SIP phone client installed.

Testing: gives a bunch of wifi and other interesting info!

Yeah, I actually spent a fair amount of time last night reading about Android "intents" for purposes of seeing whether I could create a "custom" shortcut that called the contacts.apk. Nothing going. I can't understand why there's a contact.apk and a contactsstorage.apk in \system\app but no way to actually run them. And that's even though I know I have my Exchange contacts on the tablet because Go Contacts can see them. (One syncs by syncing Exchange email in the email app.)

I think these are left over from the OS's real intent is to be a phone not a tablet. If you play with other settings with anycut you will hit some that do not force close but say "ERROR no carrier found" or something like that. e.g. some of this stuff is a half assed implementation to at least get some parts of it working on a tablet thus leaving left overs all over the OS.

One day we will get an OS that made specifically for a tablet not a phone.

Talking about an operating system for tablets, I just received my new a Onda Vi40 Elite with 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Android system and A10 processor. Word is that the 4.0ICS is made specifically for tablets and just playing with it for a few minutes I am truly impressed. I sent you a message earlier. Bob

As a newbie, it's hard to keep up with it all. Arnova won't reply to me about any info on ICS for the 10 G2. Found this article today ...

I will be honest here.... I doubt on Arnova tablets at $200 price range, they will invest the time to update to ICS or GellyBean for current products. I think you will see new tablets getting these new OS's as a way to sell product. Support after is... well.... UP to us!

Have you seen the morkamod for the 10g2 ?
It has honeycomb modifications and 1.3 gig app storage.
And a recovery screen like cwm recovery.
Can you make a honeycomb ui for us too?
And whats your opinion for these rom.
But i must say your 1.4 is awesome.

I can tell a speed difference in downloading and installing and especially the keyboard and the suggested words above it. This version seems faster than Finless ROM 1.3. Even my son noticed the keyboard speed-up. Anyone else notice a difference?

I use swiftkey tablet x and can notice a slight increase in speed.

The most noticeable difference for me is boot time for me, a lot faster than before. It used to do my head in having to wait ages but now boots quick

Yes I have been following the Morkamod. Looks like it still needs some work. He is taaking the smartpad ROM and working on getting it to work on the Arnovas by slowly replacing drivers and what not. I cant tell if it is a real honeycomb OS or just the launcher and what not?

Might be something to look at later.

I flashed for take a look at.
Its launcher 3 and you use launcher 2.
Its the same os 2.3.1.
I take his launcher from system/app.
Reflash it my tab with yours 1.4.
Installed rootexplorer and replace your launcher 2 with the 3.
Restarted and its amazing.
its works like a charm

I wonder why he did not just do that to begin with rather than taking a ROM from another pad and going through the trouble of finding and replacing drivers and stuff?

Google account

Hi,
Installed 1.4. Its awesome, really quick to load and use. Only one problem I have is using market place. I have to log in to google account but it comes up with an error about Data connection. I have switched off the mobile bits so only using wifi, but still giving me problems. Any ideas?
