I second that, i was really looking forward to trying out your rom. I hope some kind of magic comes and unbricks your prometheus. I think the prometheus would be perfect if the sd card slot was functional as well as an awesome rom haha

Yeah, i wish finless had a working prometheus, tronsmart hasnt put a rom out in a while now

Yes, I had made my first ROM and went to update. Once again it did not start updating. Turned it off and on and that was it. I cant get the blue blinking LED back even using the recovery procedure that worked before.

Hey bob, a guy messaged me on facebook with a possible fix. Its with a shot, i just copied the message text from my messages, maybe you could give it a shot.

"yes sir ...place sd card while device is unplugged, then plug in back in while using the paperclip to hit the reset button and wait for the 3 blinks then leave on for 30 minutes even through blackscreen, then restart the device! And try it 3 times"

Hi guys! New round here so I figured I would help out if I can. Don't know if you guys saw this new Prometheus firmware dated March 28, 2013. It is 4.2.2 and seems to be working pretty well on my Prometheus Clone. Here is the link to the thread where I found it.

After your second try, put on a foil hat and do the achy breaky dance as well.

The Gangnam style dance seems to be more effective. But the foil hat is a must, but it has to be name brand foil.

About how long does this update take? Any idea which one is which? Is one for the real prometheus, and the other is the clone?

David the March 28th file is for the g02ref board and the March 29th file is for the g18ref board. So I guess it depends on which board you have. There are probably clones of both. I know mine is a g02ref clone. Maybe the g18ref is a newer board revision. Hope that helps.

Well the firmware update went ok, but when it was over i was at a recovery menu, i just hit reboot system now. Ive tried flashing the gapps but its not flashing

It's not working. Does it matter which side of the foil is up? Shinny side or dull?
Remember, nerds can't dance so maybe that is my problem?

I got a new unit a few days ago so I will be trying again. I hope I do not perma-brick this one. The foil hat makes my eye go screwy

Man! Im glad to hear your going to be back at trying a rom! Thats great news! As far as the foil goes you kind of have to move around with it...like an old tv antenna with foil on it, it shouldnt matter which side is up, i cant dance either i just kinda do the white guy dance....stand there moving back and forth....kinda like a pee dance haha!!! Really glad to hear you got a new one, keep us updated on the rom, maybe you can get bluetooth working for us!

That's strange mine flashed no problem. Not sure why that is happening on yours. Let me know how you make out.
