Hi Bob,

its a combo of server/client apps released by Rikomagic and are told to work on both Rikomagic MK802II and MK802III, but not on MK808( probably because MK808 isn't Rikomagic ).

Does anyone have a build.prop for google play store access?
I already tried some combinations but it seems not to work. I cleared the play store cache and rebooted after every modification.

I was able to get access to more apps in play store, but there are still some marked as incompatible.
Quick guide:
Open a terminal window (requires root access)
Mount /system as rw
# su
# mount -o rw,remount /system

Modify /system/build.prop:
ro.product.model=Nexus 7
ro.product.brand=Google
ro.product.name=nakasi
ro.product.device=grouper
ro.product.board=grouper
ro.product.manufacturer=Asus

Then I copied the XML files from the zip-attachment to /system/etc/permissions
Set the permissions with chmod 644 and changed the user with chown.

Go to Settings -> Apps -> All -> Google Play Store -> Force Stop and Clear Data
Reboot

btw. A lot of programs like vi or grep do not work in the ROM.

Hi at all.
It would be possible and simple to change the Wi-Fi driver in the Rom?
It's possible put the driver for mk802III in this Rom? Thus do use this Rom in mk802III with Wi-Fi and not with Ethernet

It is not possible at this time because the current KO modules that worked on 3.0.8 kernel will not work on 3.0.36+. So your just going to have to wait until someone figures out how to recompile them.

Problem after update

BOB Hello Friend, thank you for your excellent work, I'm having a problem with tv box MK808, after upgrading to 4.2.2 it will not let me turn on WI-FI, when I turn it sits on the home screen and deleting all the time I have no micro sd card installed, only the internal memory, but it does not work, you could help me with this problem?

Is libstagefright supported?

I was unsure if libstagefright was supported in this rom or if we had to put it in separately. I saw the question was asked at the beginning of the thread but did not see a reply to it.

Also wanted to say thanks much for the hard work putting this together for us!

So then 1.7 (the upcoming 1.8) would be the better one to flash if we want better xbmc/plex streaming?

I purchased an MK808 last week and rooted it last night, flashed the libstagefright.so library and it seems to be working ok for the most part, just a few videos still have micro stutter, mostly panning shots. Xbmc, for some reason, plays some of the movies off my plex server fine while others are scrambled and reboot my MK808 so I try to use the plex android app as much as I can. I want to go to one of the finless roms but I'm trying to decide which one is going to be better for what I want to use my MK808 for, which is the streaming video, before I flash one.

I just wanted to know if there is a way to auto hide the status bar with this ROM. I prefer this ROM to the 1.7 but because the bar doesn't auto hide I might go back to the 1.7 ROM.

Flashed today and everything is working fine to me.
I came from Finless 1.7c and I think this is a better rom at least wifi signal icon is back to blue.
