The first thing that I noticed was that there was an improvement in colour reproduction on the videos that I played.

It's a little zippier in operation.

Tested the Nvidia shield test SPMC and all works very well indeed.

There is slight stuttering when playing 1080p video in Youtube during panning sequences but this was no different to the norm for me.

A 4k video that normally had a pronounced amount of stutter part way through playback is smoother, although not perfect.

I noticed that when the USB connection is checked, it does not stay on after a reboot.

Powering off only reboots but I'm guessing that this will be because I need dedicated kernel/resource files for the R28.

On 2.0.9a BBC iPlayer would work with ethernet connection, but not in this.

At the top right hand corner of the home screen, where you have the time/wifi indicator, there is also an entry that shows 2600 degrees C, which I'm sure can't be the temperature of the CPU, so not sure what this indicates.

Overall, very impressed and nice to see the included apps for a get going out of vox experience.

For BBC IPlayer, you can enable 'fake wifi connection'.
It tricks Android into thinking your ethernet connection is a wifi connection.
Enable the module in Xposed Framework.

Power off will work with a kernel/resource after 10 April 15 since there are new emmc drivers and older kernels won't boot properly. Can try with only resource.img also but not sure it it will work.

Yes, that is the CPU Temperature.
To see the correct temperature, open CPU Temp module app or in Xposed Framework and change Temperature file to /input/temp0 then it will show the correct temperature.

I've successfully installed your recent 1.6 amazing ROM, as usual. And it works like a charm. Flawless and fast. Congratulations for your excellent work and for sharing it people far less experienced.
I have a question regarding the SPMC that is pre-installed, I'm not able to find the usual IPTV PVR Clients like the PVR IPTV Simple Client to be able to enable it. Do you know if they were stripped?
Thanks a lot for your support.
    Keep up the good work.
    Best Regards,

my question is I've installed v1.6 and I don't root this version and I've tested some mkv' file which have dts and dd sound but I,ve not sound with native player and mx player and spmc before root.and after root and install framework I've passthrough sound.would you please explain this?
The v1.6 ROM kernel is a lot newer and older kernels will cause problems.

I've modified some of the framework process already in the ROM for Xposed Framework.
Wanted everything to be automatically installed, but couldn't get it to work, you still have to manually click the button to install it.
To use Xposed Framework, you need root.
So maybe the framework process can't work correctly without root and cause problems with passthrough.
But it is very strange, first time I heard about this problem.

    Glad your problem is solved.
You can also use the app in the first post to install DTS/AC3 Codec for MXPlayer and extra cache for SPMC with the first button(but maybe you did already).

Only thing is you won't be able to change fan speeds, but I will upload a package you can flash afterwards that will make the fan work.
Thanks for the quick reply and the upload.

If you have working sound after that, then I will also include the fix when I get it.
I tried the Openhour rom and the dropouts are still there.. Is there no one else who experience audio dropouts while using HDMI Passthrough? I have a Boxee running Kodi and the passthrough works fine with that box, so it shouldn't be any problem with my AV receiver. Could you find out anything from the logs I sent you?
