Everything works with pergus reboot app once you install oma root. even recovery. the mouse only worked for me in slot beside the antenna. Seems root now fixed to work ok on neomode rom. Kodi sharp chrisp video some stops and dropped frames and seems a pause bug present as it does it internit. video pauses and starts maybe 3 times in a show or movie but it is there. i try setting cpu to different settings now that root installed and keyboard no lag or skips if ota port used. Many devices now mk902ii/Shield/Mk68 /Ugoos/neox5/minix5 (yes they still work lol) mk80 no it doesnt work lol.

Total system memory is usually partitioned to allocate space to 1) apps and 2) storage (or Nand). If the space allocated for apps isn't large enough, that limits the number you can install. A good allocation is between 2gb and 4gb depending on whether your total memory is 8gb or 16gb.
Some firmware makes all your system memory available for apps (unified storage) which can be very convenient.
You can change how much space your firmware allocates for installing apps with a "parameter" file that you flash along with other elements of the firmware. This can even be done post-facto - i.e. after you've installed the firmware itself.

gridlock, what rom are you currently running on your R89? What have you tried so far?
I'd be pleased to help you find one that suits but since I don't have that box, we'd have to experiment a bit. The V5 doesn't have spdif out, so you'd be better off trying Neomode's rom or the latest Rikomagic 902II Beta, These should offer the basics - wireless ac, relatively cooler running (compared to Wasser or stock), spdif.
The RKM Beta is here, together with my modified parameter file for 2gb app space.

Flash with Android Tool.
To get the Beelink remote working, first copy the "remote.conf" file found in system/etc on a stock Beelink rom to somewhere on your pc. Transfer that copy to the same folder on the new rom, reboot and it should work. However, you might have to power on manually from a complete shutdown as power requires an IR signal. Suspend might work though. Use a root explorer for the transfer, or ES File Manager after turning on root under "Tools".
As I said, not having a Beelink box limits what I can say with certainty since I can't test suggestions myself.
