I spent at least 24 hrs total work on this ROM spread out over 3 days.

Yes, it is real good, I debloated it and use some of your stuff with the stock rom, but nothing to do against the master. In 1080p is almost so smooth than my modded one in 720. Now is late here in Spain, so tomorrow I will try 720p and I hope see the stick fly.
I know that 4.1.1 is faster that 4.2.2 but this Rom feels smooth and fast enought to considerate the upgrade.

First of all the great work you are doing is much appreciated.

I am a newbie for this. Just got my mk808b 2 days back and flashed this ROM.
Here is my first thoughts.
This is weird, but the stock rom (4.0.4, I think?) seemed much more responsive than this. Operator error? Is there some setting I am supposed to do?
Also on first boot, it asked me to choose between Launcher and Launcher new. I chose Launcher New, is there a way to customize this or revert to other launcher?, again being newbie this may have been answered in your previous posts, kindly direct me.

I can be ginuea pig, use me.

It seemed a bit more responsive than after the first boot, but still seems some what less than when with stock rom. Is there a setting for mouse cursor speed or something, may be thats what was faster in stock, downloads and everything look ok, its just the UI interaction.

To revert back to other launcher; Go to settings>apps>at the top it defaults to downloaded. Click to the right until you find "all"> then find launcher new>select it and find the button labeled "clear defaults"

After you clear defaults, click the home icon and it ask you to choose once again. Then you can choose launcher instead.

But what are the advantages to go with 4.2.2. instead of 4.1.1? Beside the multi-user fonction, does the stick gain better performance? Can we still run flash since its not supported in this android version... thanks!!

But i have a problem, when i update it, i don't get any videooutput. I only get a black screen.
When i downgrade back to finles 1.7 is everything alright again.
I followed all the steps in the manual and don't know how i can fix this. :s
And i've got an original mk808B from geekbuying.

Anyone got an idea how i can fix this?

It was fun playing with this.
I went back to Finless 1.7. As my main purpose is XBMC, I put 2/19 HW accel version with instructions from ididmytime in the other thread, all HD content plays flawless (to my eyes?) with internal player. Although this thread is for 2.1, thank you so much for your efforts neverthless.

4.2.2 changed the TV HDMI output format and some TVs wont work. If you look through any of the 4.2.2 ROM threads this is a common issue. I have not figured out why yet but it is a fact that some TVs cant handle the new output format.
FYI this same format is what is screwing up Netflix from working....

Got the same issue (upgrading from 1.7). Tried more than 10 times. Finally I connected the box on my desktop screen, and It booted, changed the resolution to 1280x720p-60 (this is in settings/screen/HDMI Mode) and connected it back to my TV, it is working great now.

293,632 ko or 286 Mo (300 679 168 octets)

seem to be small... but maybe a good kernel ?
