    WoW Thanks

This is the best version I have installed on the mx2.Was having a lot of trouble with usb hard drive disconnecting and reconnecting all the time before this version. Tying to play a movie off the hard drive before was sad as well so the usb mouse and keyboard dropping out after connecting a hard drive.
(now that is all fixed) Thank You

And the AnTuTu Score = 9513 with the 720p version (memory test sandisk C10)
Plus you updated SuperSU to v1.30 nice..

    (And we fixed the mx1)

        tun.ko

        Hi,

I tried this Rom and it installed fine but I cannot use OpenVPN. It seems that either the tun.ko module is missing or tun support is not compiled into the kernel. Is there any way to add this?

          Funny you should ask!

Leolas just complied a tun.ko for this kernel!

Give us a bit of time but I may ask you to test it please.

HA HA...pretty decent timing for our conversation today about VPN. I hope it works. I'm sure it will.

I'd be glad to test it.

Speaking of compiling...is source available for this kernel? I do like to roll my own.

Overheating could be the cause of your crash in AnTuTu?

[edit] Actually, I was mistaken about AnTuTu: it only runs the CPU flat-out when you first launch it, during initialization - not constantly, as I first thought. My bad. Sorry for the duff info.
So this rom does not have locked kernel at 1.2GHz anymore?

No it doesn't. Or, as Finless says, if it's supposed to, it's not working. You should be able to scale up to the full 1.6Ghz.

                        Thanks, that's great.
Not so great for common users that don't know how to fix the maximum clock to a slower speed, but great for everybody skilled enough to flash a custom rom.

                            1080 and BT

Thanks for those who replied to my question and confirmed that the 1080 is lagy and slow.

I install the 720P version and I played a lot with it. It is really fast! But:

As it has been said, the audio over BLUETOOTH is useless in this ROM. Keep disconnecting.

I also had many problems playing videos... It works fine for a few minutes and then starts the problems, lag, frame lost, artifacts,... But not all the time. I am still trying to figure out what setting could cause that. Might be related to the Bluetooth too, or/and CPU speed that is now faster.

By the way, I am not using the WIFI, but an Ethernet USB adapter.

Without the Bluetooth, this ROM is useless for me. I'll probably go back to the 1.7 until there is a Bluetooth fix

Thanks BOB for the good work!

EDIT: If clock is set over 1.2Ghz I start having video playback issue. I'll re-try the Bluetooth with a lower clock... Maybe all problems that I have are comming from the O.C... We'll see...

                              Hi Bob,

Thank you for all the great work.

I have a UG007 with Fineless 1.5. If I flash it with the 4.2.2 I don't get a tv signal. Not with the 1080 kernel as the 720 kernel.
I also flashed it with the 1.7 and gets a tv signal. Only not with the 4.2.2.
Do you have any suggestions? Is it maybe possible to try it with the 1.7 kernels?

                              Thanks in advance.

Problems while overclocking could be down to overheating and/or an inadequate power supply, I guess.

Are you using MX Player to play videos? I find the H/W+ option doesn't work well on my device (to put it mildly). I seem to remember the MX devs saying somewhere it may not work on some hardware. However, the basic H/W setting seems to work just great, although I haven't gotten around to testing by watching a whole movie yet, with this ROM.

So far, I'm finding this ROM very sweet. I think this one could be a keeper!

Thanks again to all the hard work of Sir Finless Bob.
